I've been involved in genealogy for over 30 years - but only recently got involved with Find A Grave. After seeing the deterioration of many old tombstones over the years I appreciate what so many FAG contributors have been doing to document a lot of cemeteries. Also, now that a huge number of graves in many cemeteries have been documented, I find FAG to be a useful mechanism for making some of the data that I've collected over the years more readily available to other researchers. So I submit numerous additions & corrections to others for existing memorials for my extended family and related families - and am happy to manage memorials if that makes it easier. I also add memorials for people who have no tombstone or memorials but for whom I've found information regarding where they were buried. I don't care for the "numbers game" that some contributors seem to play - but don't mind if they want to "keep" all their memorials as long as they are responsive in adding/correcting information. I try to do likewise - and am happy to transfer a memorial to anyone else who will maintain it properly.

Perhaps glowing praise is not enough. I should also say thank you!! I am the little girl & I, too, have the middle name of Brent & maiden name of Williams - as did Colma Brent Williams Cave. I was born 143 years after she. The Brent name was old in 1803!

This memorial is lovely & I visit it often, just to look upon his sweet face. I know the history of the Cave & Williams family from pre-Revolutionary Orange county VA to modern day. I mean I know it "by heart", along all the collateral lines & all about each child. Almost every one was an historian of the root and of the limb. Are you related to Alf?

RE: CW Service - Daniel Miller
HI. I found the 1905 Iowa Census Card for Daniel on the LDS site. I didn't even know there was such a thing, so that will be a great help in finding regiment info for other CW vets. THANKS!

RE: CW Service - Daniel Miller
Hi. Thank you for the information, but I am not finding any reference to Civil War service in the 1905 Iowa Census on It only lists name and address. Is there more to it than Ancestry shows? I found him in the 1895 Iowa Census which has a place for CW service, but there is nothing for him.

Find A Grave memorial for Nellie Menti.
Thanks for helping clear up the confusion on Nellie's parents. I have posted the birth information, and changed the links. Let me know if you find out any additional information and I will make the changes happen.

Thanks for helping keep the records accurate.
