I was born in Birmingham, Alabama and have lived in the Birmingham area most of my life. I find ancestry research fascinating! |
Some surnames connected with my family are Baker, Bibb, Counts, Crane, Easter, Funderburk, Harden, Hughes, Wood.

|Paul McMillin||Gregory McMillin grave|
Hi Mr. Easter. First I want to say thanks for adding the candle on the Gregory David McMillin page. I believe they misspelled his last name as McMillan.
Secondly, My father, Paul McMillin lived in Trafford and had a son named Gregory. My parents were divorced in the 70s and he remarried so Gregory would be my half brother. This was all news to me. I started the genealogy thing after I learned my father had passed in 2007. I know nothing about Gregory and that troubles me. I can find nothing on him on any of the genealogy websites. I know nothing of his mother save that she passed before my father. I have no idea where he was born, lived (other than Alabama). The only thing I know is that he died after being hit by a train while walking the tracks. As I can find no information on him, I'm assuming, and it's just pure assumption, that he may have had some issues and not known how to deal with them after our father passed. Would you have any ideas on how I could find any kind of information on Gregory? After my father and mother divorced, my father basically disappeared so no one in the family knows much of his story let alone Gregory's story. Any advice would be much appreciated. Also, thank you again for adding the candle.
P. Bryan McMillin

I have looked for years trying to find a public record saying that David and Priscilla are buried in unmarked graves in the Marchbanks Cemetery but
keep hitting walls. Do you have any documentation at all? I have no doubt that is where they are but would like to find a record of it. Their son F.M. was supposed to have been buried there as well but can't find him either.
Also, I can't find Davids second wife Martha Ann Clark either. Death date or burial site.
I know there was a newspaper when David died because F.M. posted information in it trying to find all of the heirs but I can't find that either. Any ideas?
I would so much appreciate any help you can give me.

I have been working on linking graves that I listed long ago, before the linking was an option. I listed Elizabeth Little on Aug 09, 2005 and there is a photo of her grave. You listed Sara Elizabeth sullivan Little without a cemetery 9 years later. I would never had known her first name was Sara and her maiden name was Sullivan without your listing, so many thanks.
Buried in the Morris Cemetery, Jefferson County,AL
Is she related to you? She is my 3rd cousin, 3 times removed - very distant relative. If you are a closer relative, I would gladly transfer the grave. So would you consider deleting yours since mine has a photo and burial site? - your friend in grave digging- Robin
