RE: Florence Bucher
No problem.

I have worked at Hillside for a little over a year. Find a Grave is how I've learned my way through this large cemetery. I don't have any personal interest in any of the memorials.

Find A Grave Memorial# 160353373

Dear Gretchen,

Dr. Van Dyck's memorial is one of the most important to me in all of my efforts on Find-A-Grave. Please send me a link to your ancestry records for my examination.

Many blessings,
Paul

Johnson
Yes, you can upload that Mt Pleasant pic of Catherine/David/Daniel's headstone to both David & Daniel's Mt. Pleasant memorial page but not their 1st Pres page. You can simply delete from the 1st Pres. page.

Daniel and Harriet are now listed as siblings. They were listed as half siblings because Catherine was listed as her Harriet's mother and her father was left blank. Problem solved.

Johnson Tombstones
David Johnson and son, Daniel Pierson Johnson, were originally interred at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Newark, NJ and were re-interred at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Newark, NJ probably when Catherine Johnson was buried there in 1867.

Their original tombstones still exist but, were not relocated with them. Therefore, their original tombstones are not considered centotaphs. The photographs of their new tombstones at Mt. Pleasant need to be removed from their original memorials at 1st Presbyterian to their new memorials at Mt. Pleasant. This should clear up the situation.

RE: Florence Bucher
I am glad to help. The log that the cemetery kept often did give a hospital as the last address. But here, there was no hospital named. Interesting!

RE: Florence Bucher
I just thought to look in the old book we have here recording deaths from 1888 to 1948. It shows the cause of death for Florence as "toxamina pregnancy" and her address as 47 West 50th Street, New York City.

RE: Florence Bucher
I am glad I was able to provide photos. I recently started working in the office at Hillside Cemetery, and joined Find-a-Grave to help me learn the cemetery, which it is indeed helping me to do.

RE: Joseph Bucher- Fileys Church
Not sure if the family is the same but in near by Boiling Springs, there is something called the Bucher Mansion and the road along it is called Bucher Hill Road.

Its not hard to believe that they are related as it is (until recently) a very rural area and families would move around to work farm land.

If you know of that connection, I know where the Bucher family plot is and could get photos from there for you.
