Someone mentioned how findagrave is addicting...OMGosh it is!!!!!!

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
that someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you. Author Unknown

This poem brings a tear to my eye....

RE: Jacob Warras
Hi Lisa. The only thing I can tell you is that Holy Trinity burials before 1910 ish were burned in an office fire so none of those records survived. I spent a year looking up old gravestones which would no longer have records on them. I probably saw a headstone and wrote down the info. I can change it to unknown until I can get that picture, Frank

Mary Prinz
Hi Lisa,

I found the marker for Nickolaus and Anton Prinz. The reverse side of the marker has the name of Maryanna Hack and her son Joseph. The dates for Maryanna are 1858-1940. If this is your Maryanna please let me know and I will add the photo.

I added the inscription and my best guess at the translation on the records. I transferred the records to you so you can adjust as necessary.

Lisa,

I got the best photos possible at this time. I also tried to read the stones well enough to get translation of the inscriptions. I do not know German so anyone who does can do a better job. Would you like me to transfer these records to you? I am not related.

RE: Nic Brickler
You may use any of my photos. Please wait until I get better photos for the Bricklers before including them anywhere. It is supposed to get warmer later in the week and I think I can brush off a bit of the growth to make them more readable. Sometimes getting them wet helps but I would freeze my fingers doing that today.

I found the stones for Nicholas and Henrietta Brickler. I am posting the photos I took today but the stones may give up more information after a good rain. I will retake photos on a warmer day since today it is a sunny but blustery Wisconsin day!
