RE: Help with shipwreck death
You might want to check with the Great Lakes Shipwreck museum on Whitefish Bay in Paradise, Michigan. If you live in Michigan, it's a nice day trip up to the U.P. They may have more information about your great-grandfather. You should create a memorial for him. My grandmother had Capt. Jennings funeral card in her belongings, and I learned of our family connection and the tragedy from that. Best wishes to you.

RE: Stritter grave photo
Sorry there weren't individual markers for you to see but that's the spot! You're welcome. I've just started working through some of the cemeteries in Queens, it looks like there are a lot of photo requests that have been around for a long time waiting for someone to take an interest.

Hi. I've linked the relatives as per your request. Would you like me to transfer ownership of the memorial to you? Also feel free to use the pictures I took.

No, there was no stone for the Stritters, but I did find the grave and stone of William kehr. He has no find-a-Grave memorial page but I can email you the full-size photo file OR you can create a memorial page for him and I will upload the poic.

The only inscription on William's stone is:
William Kehr
Feb. 1883
Age 37 years
Green-Wood's online cemetery records give his middle initial as "F." and his burial date as February 11, 1883.
