I've been researching for more than 30 years, more so since I retired 14 years ago.
I was born in Villa Nova Norfolk Co Ontario but now live in Brandon Manitoba.
Both my wife's family and my own have been successfully researched and am presently adding when & where I find additions, plus helping my friends with their family trees.
Not only do you find all your ancestors but you also learn an enormous amount about our History and Geography. Never knew much about the War of 1812 but sure do now....

Hi Hugh

I believe I do have connection. It is coming together slowly but it seems to be pointing that way. If you have not yet read my Bio, take a look and you will know why I am doing this slowly. If I do find anyone that is not on Find a Grave and I put them in.

Have a good day and lets keep in touch.
When I know for sure Ill let you know. :)

Duplicate Cemetery's
I see you have worked very hard on some people for the
Dunnville Riverside Cemetery :Dunnville,Haldimand County,Ontario,
The actual Cemetery is just called Riverside Cemetery. It is in Dunnville,Haldimand County,Ontario,
There is a find a grave site already made for this name with photo of the entrance sign.
I know there is not two of them for I live in this area.
Please for give me, I salute you for all the hard work and I am sure you understand it can be hard with duplicate Cemetery's. And they can be transferd easily to the Other.

Thank you
James M.

Jacob Waunch
Hi Hugh,

I don't know anything about the Waunch family. I've lived in Leduc only a few years and photographed the cemetery as a genealogy project.

I would suggest that you contact the Alberta Genealogical Society, Edmonton branch, as they may have some information.

RE: Charlotte Hiller Brown
I added the new information on Charlotte. I am not related, I was at the cemetery taking photos.
Thank you,

RE: Elizabeth (Rickerts) McCoy
Not just off hand. I have Whites (Orpha White d/o Benjamin and Rhoda (mnu) ) married John Rickert) and Keeney, Godfrey and Wonch. Lambertons and Luces. Most of them ended up in Michigan after the little trouble in Canada there of the 1830's. You're right, this is a most educational hobby--I didn't know anything about MacKensies rebellion until I followed the family from Connecticut to New York to Ontario and back down into Michigan.

A bunch of my ancestors were also from South Dumfries. When a cousin and I visited a few years ago we were told that South Dumfries as a political designation no longer exists. I'll be happy to add a note to that effect.

Hi Hugh
Forums can be fickle. I'D try becoming a Forum member again later in the week. In the interim, just send an E-mail to

Include your Contributor ID # and do a cut and paste so Find A Grave has the link to the cemetery. Provide as much info as possible, Street address, Postal Code (if you know it) and GPS location.

Good luck!
