family info sent
Hi Kayla - I got your- e-mail with the much needed family info. Please put my e-mail address in your contacts list so you will get my mail and we can exchange more info:
cindylm44@yahoo.com

Thanks for the info - that is what I needed, and I got more from Ancestry after you gave me what you had. Check your e-mails or spam box if you haven't added me yet!

Thanks a lot! I'm working on Andy's memorial. Just busy and doing it in bits and pieces, much like a quilt!

Family info. for your branch
Hi Kayla,
please check your e-mails, as I just sent you a note asking for your husband's name and dates, plus the kids, and your brother's wife's name, and his children's full names and birth dates, so we can update our files. I would love to get that done before the reunion, as I always like to take a couple of extras along.

Thanks so much! See you soon.

ANDY MATHER TRANSFER
Thank you Kayla for transferring Andy's memorial to me. I will start working on it and flesh it out, hoping to make us all proud, as we are in real life! I'll get back to you via e-mail.

RE: Forgot to ask.. - reunion.
HI Kayla, I found you on my Mather Chart, and I see you are Aunt Clara's gr-granddaughter! I absolutely LOVED Aunt Clara! She was my favorite of the Aunties! She was my grandmother Beulah's sister. So, Andy would be your gr-gr-gr-grandfather.
My brother, Doug and I are very actively charting our family, and have charts, an Ancestry site, and an on-line photo site. Plus we have a lot of information on Andy and have collected all the books we can find on him. e-mail me at:
cindylm44@yahoo.com

Thanks, cousin and I'll see you Saturday,
Lynda Duncan Miles.

RE: Andrew Mather memorial 18541502
Okay, that's great, but if you are going to keep it, will you please put the bio and other photos on it. You can transfer it to me, even though someone else gave it to you, but we have many family members that need to be attached to him, and there is so much great information to be added, and photos, and my hands are tied at this point.

And, yes, I will be at the reunion, and look forward to seeing and meeting you. So many of my side of the family can't come this year due to the late schedule, and that makes me sad. I am descended from Robert and Ida > Beulah Mather.

Lynda.

Andrew Mather memorial 18541502
Hello, Kayla,
I am requesting that you allow me to manage Andy's memorial, as I want to add the other family members, a bio and all. He is my gr-gr-grandfather, and I have already sponsored the memorial and added photos.

Thank you for your consideration.

RE: Odessa, Lewis, and Freddy
Hi, Kayla!

You and I are second cousins once removed. Your great-grandfather, Frederick Andrew Jackson, and my grandfather, Jesse Lewis Jackson, were brothers. Great-uncle Fred died before I was born, but I remember Great-aunt Annie, your great-grandmother. I also have some vague memories of your grandparents, Lewis and Odessa. We lived in Houston, so we didn't see them often.

I can tell you a really nice story about Lewis and Odessa. My grandparents, Jesse and Allie, were renting a house in Salty (during the war, I think) and their landlord rented the house out from under them to one of his relatives. They had no place to go, and Lewis and Odessa let them move into a small rent house they owned. My grandmother always had a soft spot for them because of that.

I wish I could help you out with pictures, but we didn't get any pictures when my grandmother died. My cousin Neal has most of them, if I'm not mistaken. If you'll e-mail me at js_jackson@att.net, I'll be happy to put you in touch with him.

Best regards,
Jennifer Jackson

RE: Kimberly George
No, the dirt around the grave didn't look like it had been dug up, but I really didn't notice that much, other than Kimberly's headstone is only about a foot above where Winston Dayton's headstone is. I figured she must have been cremated to have the stones so close together.
I just looked at my pictures on my camera and the dirt looked to be intact around them. I actually cropped the pictures before putting them on Find A Grave because it was so sunny that it was showing reflections of me and the camera!
