RE: Charles Cole
Thanks again Kay for your thoughts. A bit more about Charles, he was from San Francisco and the Grandson of a real 49er. He was a plumber by trade but suffered permanent disabilities from his time in the Spanish-American War and was confined to a series of Veterans Homes before ending up in one in Dayton, Ohio. It was from here he went AWOL but I still don't know how he ended up in Tenn. He is my relative and bravely served his country so I thought he should be remembered - he was single and had no children.

Charles Cole
Thanks Kay for locating and photographing the grave of my Great Grandmother's brother - he was AWOL from a disabled veterans home when he died of T.B. over 2,000 miles from home and now we have a photo of his final resting place.
