I have been working on my genealogy since around 1988. I live in Missouri and try to photograph as many headstones of my family (and others) when I can. My family names are: Lowe, Gore, Shafer, Bozarth, Borden, Alexander, Reed, McPhetridge, Salsbury, Russell, Potter, White, Cronkhite, Hargis, Bradley, Baker, McCully, McCulloch, Moyer, Farris, McSpadden, Rice, Polson, Sims, Wall, Stevens, Cox, Wine, Wade, Mustain, Shelton, Ellis, and others. Findagrave is a wonderful tool for those of us who care about where we came from, and for sharing our family stories with others. If I manage a memorial for someone I'm not directly descended from, I will transfer management to a direct descendant no matter how many generations back you go. I firmly believe that all memorials should be cared for by a family member, not a stranger.|

|Karen Reiser||RE: Mary Elizabeth Bozarth Ferrier|
I am a descendant of Lycurgus - my maiden name was Devall and my surname is now Reiser. My mother is Carol (Mitchell) Devall. Carol's mother was Pauline (Fundus) Mitchell. Pauline's mother was Emma (Ferrier) Fundus. Emma's parents were Danial and Mary Elizabeth (Bozarth) Ferrier and Lycurgus Bozarth was Mary Elizabeth's father. Lycurgus would be my great-great-great grandfather.
I am intrigued that you have info on Roy Earl Ferrier, as he seems to be the lost sheep of our family. My grandmother Pauline never ever talked about having an Uncle Roy, (or an Uncle George either, for that matter) and until we started digging into our history, my mother was unaware that Emma had any brothers that lived to adulthood.
I would be glad to share information or answer any questions you have about Emma and her family, which is my specific branch of the tree - and would love to know more about Roy Earl Ferrier and the Bozarth family as well. I would like to find and document for Findagrave, Lycurgus' wife's burial info - to help complete the lineage.
Looking forward to hearing more from you :)

Thanks for the information and yes I agree that it should be updated with the death certificate info. Will do so ASAP.
Also, my uncle's mother was Bertha Shoemaker Henry so I have the Shoemaker/Summers connection in my cousins' family trees. These are names I have actually heard of that we are adding correct information.
|Farm Girl from Mo.||RE: Please delete obit added as a photo.|
Do you know if I made any errors when I typed it up and I just remembered that I should have checked to see if you included the name of the newspaper with the photo but I just read your message and the obit. had been removed. Do you know the name of the newspaper and please double check my typing for incorrect dates, etc. and let me know if you find any mistakes. I am not sure when George A. Bragg joined the Christian Church. I think it has 1856 in the obit. but it was so hard to read. Thanks again,

While I very much appreciate the obit you added to my memorial for George A. Bragg #45385082 it is not recommended that obits be added as photos. Also this obit. is very difficult to read. I have typed it up in the bio. the best I can, please check it over and let me know if you think the first paragraph ends in the word: sons or ones. I'm not sure. After checking it over for any other errors would you please delete the photo since I have typed it up in the bio. where it is much easier to read. Thanks again for supplying the obit.

How are you related? Sarah is my wife's 3g-grandmother
I had not done much on this family but since you inquired I have found the marriage and an assumed divorce information from old newspapers.
Emma (Emily on early census records) married one Dr. Stephen L. Sage a prominent physician in Adair county. I think he married a younger woman to care for his children.
If you email me with a request I can send you the information I have so far...I have not found her yet past the divorce in 1889.

Thank you for the info....I have linked Francis with her second husband Cary Hilliard.
Have a great day!

I recently visited Sylvandale Cemetery and found 2 stones in a fenced area there. The stones are broken and very difficult to read but the dates agree with your search. I can spend a bit more time trying to identify and read what is on if you feel this may be your relatives. If you have an email I could send the pictures I took for you to look at.

I changed the photo order so Mary's picture is the first one. You are correct that your photo of her husband John is superior than the one posted on his page. Maybe you can contact Find A Grave and see if they will replace it with yours...good luck!

That would be cool! I don't have a picture of anyone on my King side.
