Bio

I have always been interested in my family's ancestry. My parents were divorced when I was 6 months old so they are buried in different cemeteries. I keep up with both, however. I am only now in the position of actively searching for more ancestral data, especially on my mother's side. A distant cousin of mine provided me with a document describing my paternal heritage all the way back to Germany in the 1600s. That really got the genealogical juices flowing! I think I'm the only family member in this area (which now contains only 3 aunts, 1 uncle, and some cousins) to take such an active interest in our ancestry.

I have started a group on Facebook specifically referencing my paternal side relatives, as I know they stretch out over the country. My maternal side is not nearly so prolific, I believe. But there is Native American heritage there, and I would very much like to find out more about that.
