|Brian Elston||RE: Pleasant M. Smith|
There is currently no known photographs of him. Descendents of his still live in eastern KS but they are not in contact with me nor share information. Pleasant is listed at Ft. Scott serving there as a farrier. He also is listed as being the first to move into the Cherokee lands in Eastern KS and pitched a tent but moved on and settled and lived at what is now the town site of Arcadia, KS. Being a direct descendent I am intereted in any information on him. He was Cherokee.
|Will Piercy||RE: Andrew J. Piercy|
I'm assuming that you found the grave for Col. Andrew Jackson Piercy, which lead you to me. If we're talking about the man, then you have found his great-great-grandson, and I would be very interested in anything you have on him. Sitting here typing this has reminded me that I was actually given a photograph of him awhile back, I may upload it here. I know I was very interested in seeing the photo, and if there's anyone else out there like yourself that's just learning of him, they may be interested in seeing what he looked like also .
