I started out doing genealogy research on my family and quickly realized how closely related so many of us are to each other. I became obsessed with working on my family tree and helping others with theirs. |
I love Find-A-Grave because it allows us to memorialize our loved ones that are no longer with us and to share our family connections in a way that only a site like this can provide.
Every time I am in my home state of Florida, I visit the cemeteries to take photos and collect family information. I often review the memorials to see if I can help add information and help reduce duplicate memorials.
If there are any edits that are needed for any of the memorials I manage, please let me know. If you are a relative, please reach out to me because I love meeting and staying in touch with close and distant relatives. If you are a closer relative than I am to any of those I have memorialized, I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you.
If I can help in any way with your family history or memorials, please do not hesitate to ask. We are all here to help each other and to memorialize our loved ones.

THANKS SO MUCH. This is beautiful and made me cry with gratitude and pride. This is just awesome. I wish I knew how to leave a confederate battle flag on his page.

I'm sorry, I made an error. The fourth edition of this book is (c)2010, not 2004.
|Richard Bragg||RE: memorial question|
William B Land (156013526) info actually came from a book called "Survey of Taylor County, Florida Cemeteries" by Jessie H. Paulk who actually lives not far from me. I have his 4th edition of the book (2004) and have found some errors, but he's usually fairly accurate.
If you look here, there is a F. Land listed as Sergeant in the Florida 11th Infantry Co.D which was most likely him.
Land Cemetery was actually destroyed by loggers some years ago (I've looked for it several times), so there are no markers, as far as I know.

OK, thank you, Leelem.
|Anonymous||Mary H Trudell|
Greetings from Disney Land East, the Military District of Washington. . . . I were wondering if you could provide a photograph of Mary's grave site, Memorial Park, St Petersburg, FL. I grew up in Gulfport and very fond of Mary and husband Orville and close to their five boys Orville Jr., Art, Robert, Larry and Johnny of whom only Art, Larry and Johnny are surviving. I believe Mary had resided in Bell, FL, the home of Robert and Diana Trudell possibly up the time that Robert passed away, 21 Mar 2009. Also, is it possible that Orville her husband, is buried there also? I can find no record of him under Memorial Park. Also, hate to overburden you is it possible you could find the grave site of Harley Louis Worhington, 6 May 1928 - 1 Aug 1971. He should be buried with/near Ione his wife who passed away in 1988. I loved the Worthington(s) and Trudell(s) with my heart and sole. I do not get back to Gulfport, my favorite place in the world as I am here, retiring from Fort Belvoir last year. Thanking you in advance, Leelem Estes.

Hey James: I didn't realize it was you that asked about the Land Cemetery. I sent you an email to the brian171 address.
Is that your correct email address?
|Richard Bragg||RE: Edd Barber photo|
Ok, well as you can see, that is the stone next to Evelyn - I posted a photo showing the whole lot as well. Sorry I couldn't find Edd.
|Linda Davis||Thanks for the photo|
Thank you for posting the military grave marker photo on Rev Billy Raye Robson's memorial. The family appreciates the kind act.
