RE: Townsend Cemeteries
Well, given that I wasn't exactly doing anything with them, I suppose you can do the same nothing I've been doing since I added them. Between the two of us, you're the expert on the Townsend family. Maybe some descendants of the other family will turn up eventually and ask for a transfer.

Townsend-Coover Cem
BTW if you did not know this the Townsend-Coover cemetery since Jason visited it has had a vandal which trashed many of the stones including the Muntford Townsend tomb. It was broken to pieces. Sheriff says they caught the vandals couple years ago - High School kids from nearby school. You can see the damage on this site of mine URL below. Better value Jason's photo of the complete stone because I don't know if anyone can find all the broken parts to put them back together. Such inhuman ignorance.

RE: Townsend Coover Cemetery
I need your Findagrave Contributor number to do that. Hope it is not too big a job as I don't have a lot of time but will try.

Hey Mary, noticed Jimbo found headstone for Rilla. Transferred her to you so you can fill in all the family data.
Good to work with you,

RE: Townsend Children (3) Graves
They're all yours. You can edit the burial information, rather than adding new listing.

For some reason, James R. "Stuart," and children were living in Bellefonte, Jackson Co., AL, in 1860. James was listed as a "gardener" with a real estate value of $1200 and a personal estate valued at $6000. His age was 64 (1796), born in TN. The children were listed as: Josiah, born c.1853 in TN; Anna, born c.1854 in TN; Lexie C., born c.1856 in TN; and Margaret, born c.1857 in TN. A descendant of Anna Blakley Stewart sent me her Missouri death certificate showing she was born in Nashville, TN, to James R. Stewart and Parthena Johnson on 19 Oct 1853. In 1870, as you say, neither Parthenia or James appear to be alive and the three girl are living with the two Johnson families. I don't know what happened to Josiah after 1860 or Margaret after 1870, but Annie Blakley Steward married Silas Abner Hamilton and had about 8 kids before he left her. She died in Missouri and there is a photo of her and family online and her grave in an abandoned cemetery in the woods. Lexie C. Stewart married George T. Browder in Jackson Co., AL, on 8 Feb 1874. She died in Winslow, Washington Co., AR, and is buried in Kelton Cemetery.
Annie's descendants say James and Parthenia went to Jackson Co., AL, because her mother gave her part of the land she inherited from her brothers. They have no idea why Parthenia was living with her brother in 1860.
I don't think James' son Lorenzo Henry approved of his father's marriage to a woman younger than he was. He did not follow him to AL. He married and headed to White Co., AR, in the 1860s and changed the spelling to Steward.

Parthenia Johnson, d/o Henrietta Townsend and Cornelius Johnson, became the 3rd wife of James Stewart in Madison Co., TN. James Stewart and his first wife, Janey Lee, were my husbands ggg grandparents.
