My Grandfather Peter Weltin homesteaded in Grainfield Township, Towner County, ND, in 1888. I was born in 1957 and own the homestead and continue to live in the area. I have three sons who will hopefully continue the family legacy in the area for at least another 124 years!

RE: Stephan Smith
Hello Bob,
The memorial has been switched to Holy Rosary. Thanks for your help. Did you find any of the Hemmesch family?

Thanks for reminding me, Bob...
I'll do a new photo request in the spring.

RE: Dorothy Musolf
There's NO gravesite yet.

"Funeral Services will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3rd, 2014, at Cando Lutheran Church with Pastor Bonnie Weaver officiating. Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the spring at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cando."

RE: Graves at Perth ND
Hi Robert,

I would appreciate the photos of the Anderson near Carl and Minnie. I'm trying to learn about my father's side of the family.

Thank you for the beautiful photos of the gravesites you took and posted today. I was told Olga had a marker just like her brother Oscar's, but that was back in the 80s so something probably happened to it? Were there any other Kvalevogs in the area? Thank you again.

RE: Graves at Bisbee, North Dakota
You were absolutely right. I sent an email to distant family in Norway as soon as I got your message yesterday... and he said they are buried in the bisbee LUTHERAN cemetery. I am so sorry. Now I feel like a plunker, and I thought I was being so careful! I will change it right away.

Since they are both technically called Bisbee, I don't actually know. I would assume that these days it would list which one they were in. I do know most of the family was catholic, but this specific branch I don't know about. I apologize if I've put them in the wrong cemetery. I just went off what was on the death certs, and I don't know who I need to call to get more information on if I've placed them correctly. I don't want you to go out of your way to try to find the gravesites, but if they are there I would appreciate a picture. Thanks so much for your time.
