What is the source for the death date? I have seen three different dates but can't find a death record. I'm looking for a valid source.
Thanks, Mary

RE: Location of cemetery and plots
Good to hear from you. I remember meeting Hilda when I was 13 years old. She lived with my grandmother, Betty Rae, and I remember GGrandma Josephine living there at the same time. She was blind, right?
I have not been able to locate my grandma Betty Rae's gravesite or my grandpa, her husband, Kenneth Lee Stevens. I lost touch with my grandma when I was about 23 for weird reasons I will not post on a public forum but would share privately. I can't find my Aunt Jean Louise, Betty's youngest daughter. Last I heard she lived in Mississippi but that was back when I met her at age 13. She was married to a man named Ron but can't remember his last name. To my knowledge they never had children. My mother past away this past August and wants her ashes scattered out in WV... preferably close to her Grandparents, Josephine and Ray "John". Not sure how to go about that since they are buried in a cemetery.
Any suggestions would be great!

I will be traveling from Virginia via I-81 to I-77. any directions from that point would be great! It is so nice to find more of my family whether alive or deceased.

Location of cemetery and plots
Hi Don, I will be visiting my G-Grandfather and G-grandmothers graves this summer. I am having trouble locating an address for the cemetery and would like some help locating the actual graves. Can you help? The graves I will be visiting are Ray Coleman "John" Tenney and Josephine Tenney Douglas.

I also have additional info to add to the family info. Josephine and Ray had 1 daughter, Betty Rae Tenney, born 9/23/1923 in Upshur County, WV, died 5/30/2012 in Elizabethtown, Bladen, NC. She married Kenneth Lee Stevens, born 6/13/1918, died 4/1982 and they had two daughters, Janet Eileen Pannell (which is my mother) and Jean Louise. My mother Janet Eileen Pannell was born in Charleston, WV 2/3/43 and died 8/7/2015 in Pulaski, Va.I can add to the list I know this is pretty much to locate to graves.
Thanks so much for any help.

I have left her married name as Lantz since this is what her stone shows. I added a note that her husband's stone showed the spelling of Lance. It appears one son used Lantz and 2 used Lance.
thanks

Thank you so much for taking the photos of their head stones. I would never have been able to go to WV and see them. My grandmother was a Lantz.

Again Thanks Ken

Re: Lance Cemetery at Volga
Thanks for the response. If you have repeated problems with the IEEE address, maybe try the same name at gmail.

Lance Cemetery at Volga
Thanks for posting the pictures. Are there any other markers there? I would like to visit the cemetery in the near future. What is the best way to access?

Thanks,

Jim

RE: Lavon
Hi Don--when you approach the cemetery headed toward Hall, take the first entrance on your right. LaVon and Jack are down over the hill. You will see a stub of a road that deadends in that area. My sister and I tried to clean up the bronze markers, but we needed a shovel to chop out the grass. It has encroached on the markers, especially Jack's. There is also a granite marker that is fairly large to mark their graves. If I can help you find anyone else, please let me know! Jennifer

RE: Russell Queen
Don, thanks for updating. Russell Vaughn and my mother were first cousins. We all knew him as "Bird Legs," or "Bird" for short. They are all gone now and sadly missed.
