RE: J.A. Threet
You are most welcome for the transfer. I have no problem sharing when there is a closer relationship. I have worked hard & enjoyed doing my "cemetery surfing" throughout Lauderdale County. I have so many relatives in all the cemeteries there. Sometimes I feel like I am related to all of the old families of the county -- and that is a very fair assessment. (smiles)
I thank you for your interest in preserving information of our past generations also.

Hi Anne --
My memorial has more obit information - so it would be logical to keep mine & let yours go. We could add the relationship connections very easily.
My relationship with this person is in-law to my great grandfather. Your connection is more direct -- so I would be glad to turn mine over to you.
Your thoughts?

RE: Doctor Taylor Parks
As far as I can tell. They both were eventually paroled, went back and reenlisted in the CSA. Both deserted to the Union side during the Battle for Petersburg, VA

RE: Doctor Taylor Parks
Thanks fo the follow-up I guess I had forgotten that you also are a relative and a direct one at that. One of my many interests is the burial locations of CW Veterans and there associated service details. I found evidence that, Doctor, while imprisoned was offered his release if he ageed to join the Union Navy. Unfortunately, I have subsequently been unable to uncover any evidence of his actual service.
I recall feeling deep sympathy with Doctor's mother and can imagine her reaction upon discovering that three of her sons were Union POW's

RE: Ollie Bertram
Good to hear from you. I am actually great grand daughter to Ollie's husband William F. Bertram and his first wife Sarah. I've been going through old pictures and just wanted to share so other people can enjoy.

I have been tracing some of my wife's Pace family. The section that you have posted are rather distant relatives, but I'm just following the family connections.

I wanted to compliment you on the very nice pictures that you have posted.

To delete your original note, just left-click on the flower itself which will take you to another page and it will ask you if you want to delete your offering...and you say yes. And then go back to the memorial and put another flower up and say something about being in the same family. I think it is important for family people to say something about family. Sometimes I just put something like John was a valued member of my family and I miss him very much...
Or sometimes I put my sweet aunt who taught me how to tell time.... I'm sure you will think of something to say. Write me again if I can be of more assistance to you.
