Hi everyone. I'm a nurse by day or night (dependent on shift), part-time student and self-confessed crazy english bulldog lady/hoarder. We're now up to three of the wrinkly, cute critters. |
Thank you to everyone who submits edits. The more accurate we can make this database the better it is for everyone. Your time is sincerely appreciated. If you do not have messages enabled or fail to provide an email - you will be ignored unless it's concerning a duplicate memorial that I have created, which I will promptly delete.
If anyone is interested in DNA links, I have a public account on 23andMe. I can also provide a family tree to my Chambers relatives for entry into D.A.R. I'm currently working on verification to join The Mayflower Society - also through the Chambers line. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you have additional information.

I have not been able to work on cemetery info for a few years because of my husband's poor health. I just found your e-mail to me regarding Rachael Chambers & Jennie Belsley. I need your Find A Grave # in order to transfer. Are there any more that you want to take over from Old Salem? Jane Foster

That is such a funny story! I can't match it, but I do have a cat that I adopted last year. She had been abused. Without going into details, she has some bathroom problems. I have a unique setup for her that works really well. Still, sometimes when she comes to snuggle in bed she smells a little ... just a tad. So I keep a towel handy to wrap her up in. She is going to have surgery soon which should fix things. She is a sweetie and well worth the trouble.
I think I can help get things back on track with Mathias. I'm having e-mail problems though. So check back here. I have my e-mail service through Verizon, and they are discontinuing all e-mail service later this month. So I have to come up with a new service provider ASAP. Getting things switched over will be more than painful!
Received your messages. Let me know if I can help. There is another Mathias Palm... I've been working both families. The one who died in 1902 is buried in Resurrection Cemetery in Dane County, and has a will on file with his probate records. I can send you the link... if I didn't already do it.
The parents of your Mathias are in the same cemetery there in Illinois. They had two children, Mathias and John Bernard. It was John Bernard's obit that mentioned his surviving brother, "Matt" when he died in 1944. I can get that to you to too... plus lots more documentation.
Let me know. Will be happy to help. Enjoy your vacation. I haven't been on one since 1976! ... and could definitely use one. Long story. Anyway, look forward to hearing from you.
Kellee, thank you for your quick reply. I've added a direct email link on my contributor page.. would you mind sending me an email? Thanks. Jim Davis

Hello. Can you please provide me with information on your source(s) for the middle name and family info. that is listed in this memorial? I am a potential 2nd great grandson of this person but I cannot find documentation for the middle name used here. The spouse listed appears to be correct but their marriage transcription (I do not have a actual copy) differs, showing John W. Humes.
Thank you very much.

I have trees on Ancestry and a lot of Schaefer ancestors recorded. I don't have your husband's parents though. Also if you want my email is firstname.lastname@example.org

Kellee I also made an edit on his middle name which should be Joseph according to his obit and draft record
|Dale Tarkington||Are you related to Peter Schaefer|
Kellee I got your message and wondered if you are related to Peter. He was my wife's 1st cousin, 2X removed. My wife's maiden name was Schaefer

Hi I left a edit note on his memorial too. While he died in Watson in Allegan County, he was taken back to Illinois where he was from and he is actually buried in St Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wilmette, Cook, Illinois. Can you change the cemetery or do you want to delete this memorial and I will create a new one.
