Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello. I joined this site to find and create memorials for friends and relatives. It has so far been fun and exciting to find out new things.

I welcome any suggestions/corrections as I am always looking for new information that I do not have.

I am related to many people in the Chillicothe/Peoria Ill area and grew up there myself but now live in St Louis.

Easier for me to snail mail the hard copy than type it in; no scanning capabilities. (Mailing obits to several memorial creators). Thx.

I'm a Find A Grave member perusing old newspapers and stumbled on a well-written obit for this accomplished gentleman. If you are willing to add it to his memorial and provide your address, I would be happy to mail it to you.

Please ask again next year. A friend and I have collected data for an article that will be placed in the hotel fire section of the records of the Missouri Historical Society. We choose a topic from time to time - Find A Grave is a help. What can you tell me about Miss Susanka? Was she living in the hotel? Many victims were. It was a terrible thing - many were locked in a stairwell. Others jumped because it was locked.

RE: duplicate chillicothe city cemetery photos
It's unfortunate but I keep seeing more & more of these sideways photo's being used, & since Vicki submitted the photo only she can remove it but since she has refused to remove the photo you could send an email to find a grave & have them take the photo off.
Good luck,
Dan R.

I hope you saw the family as well. Most died before this cemetery began, so they must have been moved there

RE: William Viehmeyer
I'm going to do that! I'm so excited to have found this obituary. My Mother is a Roloff - I contacted a Viehmeyer who had married a Roloff - he was a professor who lived in Youngstown, OH - his name was Larry Allen Viehmeyer - if you look him up on the Internet, you can see what all he's done, but his wife Susan Jane Bersch who was Dorothea Charlotte Roloff's granddaughter had died on Nov. 13, 1991 and I tried to contact her in 1992 or something - so frustrating! He didn't know her family. Anyway, I'll put the picture up.
