Hi Rosalie! I received your message and I have NO PROBLEM transferring her memorial. Some people don't like to transfer memorials to collectors but I don't mind at all! I always like to reunite people with family, no matter how many "greats" there are. Mission accomplished!

|Marlene L. Thompson||RE: Quiett|
Appreciate that you have added the marriage dates to John Thomas Barr, Sr.'s Memorial 91564306 & looked over the info that I sent. Glad it was useful information.
James Barr (O’Barr) & Catherine (nee Quiett) Barr are my 4th great grandparents.
Here is info to tell you how I am related to the Barrs & Burress Families. Jessee Burress/Burris is the son of Thomas Joshua Burress/Burris, Sr. & Dicey Carden & they were married 1792 in Albemarle Co., Va. One of their sons, is my third Great Grandfather Jessee Burress/Burris b. abt. 1804 in Albemarle, Va. & he was married 13 Nov 1828 in Daviess Co., Indiana to my third Great Grandmother> Mary Barr #183437611 b. 23 Feb 1812 in Bourbon Co., Ky. & died 2 Dec 1868 in Indiana.
My Mary Barr #183437611 is a sister to John Thomas Barr, Sr. #91564306 b. 7 Apr 1808 in Bourbon Co., Ky. who was 1st married 7 Jan 1829 in Daviess Co., Indiana to Julia Ann “Julian” (nee Burress/Burris) #92945902 b.12 Oct 1812 & also died 23 Apr 1852 in Daviess Co., Indiana. Her birth & death dates are on her tombstone. The 1921 death certificate of her son Robert Jasper Burris has information in it that his mother was born in Daviess Co., Indiana.
I am searching for Julia Ann’s Burress/Burris parents & siblings. I don’t have a connection yet, (if at all) between Jessee Burress & Julia Ann Burress. I am thinking, that she could be an aunt to him. I am trying to find any bros of Thomas Joshua Burress/Burris, Sr. who came to IN. These are points I put here, for my research focus.
Mary Barr & John Thomas Barr, Sr. are also siblings to Ellen Barr b. abt 1815 in Barr Twp., Daviess Co., Indiana & died 22 May 1896 Rutherford Twp., Martin Co., Indiana. Ellen Barr #108280665 b. about 1815 in Barr Twp., Daviess Co., Indiana was married 4 May 1834 in Daviess Co., Indiana to Overton Burress/Burris #108280175 b. abt.1808 in Va. & died 30 Oct 1896 Rutherford Twp., Martin Co., Indiana. Do you have information on any of their additional siblings that are children of James Barr (O’Barr) & Catherine Quiett? These are the three, that I have. John Thomas, Mary & Ellen.
I have tried researching Catherine (nee Quiett) Barr & have little info on her other than being born 1787 in Pennsylvania & married 16 Dec 1805 in Bourbon Co., Ky. to James Barr b. 1788 & d.1876. Catherine Quiett’s name is in the 1927 filed by James Barr Bogner U.S., Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications, 1889-1970.
I am interested in any info that you have to add to any of my ancestors.
Did James Barr have a 2nd marriage with a woman name of Catherine Salmon on 12 Sep 1828 In Daviess Co., Indiana?
Are they in the 1850 Census for Patoka, Gibson Co., Indiana as a family? Catherine Salmon would of been born abt. 1796 in N.C. & James Barr would of been born abt. 1785 in Md. per that Census.
I started this reply on the 13th of Sep & need to go ahead & send it. Hope we will have some things to share, that will help us both. This is basically what I have. It took me awhile to put this together and finally got a chance to finish it up.
Thank you for looking over what I sent when you were able to do it. I often feel there is too much to do & too little time to do it in. Have to work on it when we can.
Is any of your work on Ancestry.com?

myheritage.com has Mary as the sister of George H. Gartin (Find A Grave Memorial# 22911202) and Uriah Gartin, along with 5 other siblings; and the daughter of Uriah Gartin and Mary Sallie Houston Gartin.
Hi Rosalie. I just found Reuben's death certificate and have requested some additions to the DOB and DOD, and the county and city of his death.
If I ever get out to the cemetery I'll see if I can get pictures of Reuben and Clova's headstones for you. I didn't see a memorial for Clova and that surprised me since she's supposedly buried next to Rebuen. I guess it'll take a visit to the cemetery to get that answer.
|Sharon Foppe||RE: Clova McAninch|
Hi Rosalie. I found Clova's death certificate and it indicated she was buried in Stilesville Cemetery. I talked to Fred and Dora's son, Fred, and he remembered both Reuben and Clova and was able to verify information I found on her death certificate. He said she's buried next to Reuben.
Hope that helps!
|Sharon Foppe||RE: McAninch|
I did some research on where Clovis may be but haven't been able to find her. I'll do some more in-depth searching and see if anything comes up. Next time I talk to Fred I'll see if he remembers anything. He was adopted by Fred and Dora and I believe Fred Sr's parents had already passed by that time. If I find anything I'll let you know!
