Bio Photo Dear Ancestor

"Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn

You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh and blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder how you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you."

Memorial 112032785, you added a photo. May I ask if you have any other photo's of him or his family. His brother William Henry Plummer was g-g-grandfather of my husband. Both were son's of Gowen Wilson Plummer and Arthemise LaRiviere Ellender. Gowen died in 1884 in Bolivar but no one in the family has been able to locate were he was buried. We assume that one of the storms washed the marker away. If you have any info, I would greatly appreciate anything you would share.
Thank you
Jean Plummer

Hello Kat,
Thank you for adding the information of which tomb #8 on my husband's GGGrandfather is buried. I added a picture of the Red River Pilot's Tomb. My question is, do you know how they are numbered? From left to right or top to bottom? I would like to know exactly which one he is buried in. Thank you for helping families connect with their loved ones.

Hi Kat,
Would you consider transferring management of # 165888546 to me?
He was my grandmother's brother and I would be deeply honored to inherit him.
My Find A Grave # is 49181099.
If you prefer not to though, I understand and still appreciate you very much.
Please let me know if you don't want to transfer him.
Thanks so much, Donna

Thanks for the extensive research documentation on Rachael Pittinger Case.

I am researching my Flumerfelt family. Rachael's two sisters Esther and Elizabeth (Betsey) both married William Flumerfelt. Esther is well documented, Elizabeth is my *conclusion* given other documents of a couple of death certificates.

Do you happen to have other documentation on the Pittinger family?

RE: Dennis Jesse Flora
I note that Lena, Isaac, and Lois were added as linked children. Thanks for listing Nellie's siblings; however, not listed is Helen Penn Gerhold Brodsho, #26045246, the youngest sister of Nellie Jane Gerhold Flora.
In answer to your question, Nellie died June 20, 1924 in Pasadena, CA. I have no information on her interment.
Also, Emily Stutenroth Gerhold died September 4, 1937 in Homestead, MT and is buried at Bantry Union Cemetery in McHenry County, ND to the right of her son Lawrence Berger Gerhold, Jr. and her husband Lawrence Berger Gerhold. I found no grave marker.
