Sorry so late!
I was trying to stay off the internet and found out life was better without social media! Have not forgotten about you!

Will send!
I will send it! I don't need compensation. For now, I am enjoying all the verses she underlined - they are my favorites! She must have been an awesome lady.

Virginia Watson
Hello. I have a Bible that given to Virginia Watson from a George Watson in 1942. It was sold at an estate sale. I'd be happy to mail it to family if someone would like to receive it. It contains some old newspaper clippings and obituaries.

RE: LCol Russell H. Alcott
Hi, Frank,
Must be so exciting for you to find those military images.
Thx for uploading Russell's. Just hope one of his greats sees it.

LCol Russell H. Alcott
Since you have the photo of Russell on your site, I assume you know his story.
Anyway, he was my 3rd Great-Grandfather Harvey N. Alcott's younger brother. Harvey born in 1815/16 and Russell in 1825, children of Amon Allcott/Alcott and his first wife Louisa Skinner Alcott (her father Stephen Skinner's line via a Rowley line goes back to Edward Fuller of the Mayflower - that's info just in case you are related or someone who visits this site is related and might like a free copy of my Mayflower application - can pick up where tie in and be a member of a most illustrious organization).

I have a pencil drawing of the torso/head photo that you have on your site. My father Russell Jay Alcott's side of the family had this drawing executed sometime I believe in the 1890's. It is in a beautiful huge frame that I'm sure was gilded at one time but has darkened with age.

We believe it was commissioned by my 2nd great-grandfather Amon H. Alcott and has been lovingly cared for secondly by my Father's great-uncle Lonnie Alcott, born late 1870's, on our side of the Alcott family. Then to his son Russell who married Daisy Greengrow my father's maternal aunt. After this third owner Russell died in the 1980's, my father, a Russell Alcott, and first cousin once removed, inherited the framed drawing. That's a little confusing, sorry! Anyway there have been only four owners in two closely related Alcott families.

My sister and I are care-givers as my brother, also a Russell Alcott, has no interest in taking care of the framed drawing.
Let me know if I can send a photo of the framed drawing to you so you or someone can add to the pics of Russell H. Alcott.

Questions are welcomed!

I was raised in the South (yep that South) but every few years have a visit to my Dad's hometown of Schenevus, NY. Absolutely beautiful from South Hill looking down on Schenevus and the valley.

Thanks for your contributions to Find A Grave.

Also, not to sound too obtuse, but what does "cdv" stand for in the context of this album?

Hi Frank. Thanks very much for the information. I am wondering if you can give me an estimate of how much it might cost to get scans of all the tintypes/photos in the album given to Sara Tickner? If we could get them scanned and put on a CD or DVD, I would like to get that.

Also, my wife was wondering how you had come into possession of the album? I'm guessing you got it from an estate sale or antique dealer? (Just curious.)
