Bio Photo First order of business: Anyone who wants to take a copy of any photo I have posted to any memorial page on this web site is welcome to take it for whatever reason you need with my blessing, PERIOD. Your welcome!

I am happy to transfer any memorial page I post on FAG that is not related to me, but only to a family member or direct descendant please.

I am grateful to anyone who wants to add photos of the person or gravestone to any page I have created as long as you allow it to be copied by anyone who wants a copy. Be my guest, and thank you for your kindness.

I have been a member on Findagrave from years ago as Judith Frye Gore. Those who remember me from way back, I'm still here, just with a different last name. The search never ends, does it.

If you wish to contact me, please send to my email first. I do check my messages below but not very often. EMAIL ADDRESS:

Logan WV is my hometown, but I moved to the Carolinas after high school and one year at "The Branch" in 1971. Almost all my research is back there in the mountains of WV/KY/VA/TN/OH. As a result, photos of stones and spelunking my graveyards is limited to family visits for weddings, funerals, reunions, etc. That's why I appreciate FAG so much, because the members here are willing to go get a photo for you when you can't get there yourself. I can't get out much to take photos anymore to pay back other people's kindness, but I will help where I can right around me here and when I'm back in southern WV visiting.

My research covers the surnames FRY/FRYE, BREWER, MULLINS, FARRA, SPAULDING, MESSER, GORE in WV/VA/KY/OH. Researching WILSON in WV and TX, and GRAY and CALHOUN in TX; COX, ELROD, WORTHEN, and VAUGHN in GA.

All information I post is researched through for accuracy. If you see I have something wrong or have left out something important, please let me know with AN EMAIL.

I am grateful for the help others have shown me, which brings up something I want to say to my friends here - Please Be Kind. Family members are looking for their relatives when they come here. Please let them have a photo to cherish. They may never be physically or financially able to stand by that stone in person. Be kind with your work.

The search continues, my fellow gravers. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your help over the years. May I always be able to return the favor.

I seen that you uploaded a picture of Albert's headstone. His memorial page says that burial is unkown. Can you tell me what cemetery he is in and what town/county, state it is located in?

Thank You So Much!

Hey girl, I just went to that cemetery this past year. I was told that it was actually 4 separate cemeteries, but the way you have it seems fine to me.
I wanted to bring up about that William I. Wilkinson you have. I had to get on the ground and read that stone with my finger so we could get all the info right.
You have him as William I, but he's Wm. J. And you stated he was son of D. & R. Williamson but it's Wilkinson.

Also, you gotta put on the inscription for his stone. It states he was a twin and I believe the brother grew to adulthood and became Judge John Benjamin Wilkinson.

I have a bit on the family if you need it. But here is the inscription:

Two Twin brothers were we
John B. was one, I was the other
Now I am home in heaven above
And John B. is left with mother

Hi Judith, I am also a long time member of Find A Grave and also believe in transferring anyone that I am not related to as well as my photos. Nice to hear someone else does it too. My reason for this message is, I have been getting questioned lately when I have done additions of information to memorials and have decided to start mentioning who the info came from. I will ask first (I already put the info in, not your name or number) if you would be ok if I use your name or F.A.G. member number as the person the info came from. No rush, thanks, Joz

Hi Judith,
I should have mentioned a couple of other things -- like two unmarked graves: My dad, Roy Lester Bias Sr. is buried next to Frances. His brother Marlin C. Bias (who was the "Informant" on Ira's death certificate) is buried next to dad (other side, of course).
Roy Lester Bias Sr
(Birth: 24 Oct 1907 in Glenhayes, Wayne Co., West Virginia
Death: 10 Aug 1966 in L.A. Gen. Hospital, California
Burial: Sheldon Cemetery, West Hamlin, Lincoln Co., West Virginia)
Marlin C. Bias -- maybe MAYBE the C is Clyde
Birth: 9 Oct 1909 in ,Wayne Co., West Virgina
Death: 3 MAR 1987 in , Lincoln Co., West Virginia Burial: Sheldon Cemetery, West Hamlin, Lincoln Co., West Virginia)

Hi Judith
My grandparents were never divorced (despite what the death certificate says). As you know, public records are filled with errors committed by humans eager to finish the paperwork and go home. (A search of public records will yeild no record of divorce.) Another likely error on the death certificate is Ira's father's name. He was always known as "Obie Bias." Notice that this sounds like "O.B. Bias." You list his father as Obediah B. Bias. Obediah Bias and Nancy Adkins is correct. Most likely (but not positively), Obediah Bias had no middle name. I can gladly send you a better (cleaner, closer, larger) picture of this tombstone, if you want.

Franklin Delano Porter
I think they must be two Franklin's on the same birthday. The one that just passed away:
Franklin Delano Porter b. 24 Nov 1935 Floyd Co., KY d. 10 July 2015 Prestonsburg, Floyd Co., KY and will be buried at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Floyd Co., KY. The funeral by Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Floyd Co., KY not sure where the other Franklin D. Porter comes in but I did find a Franklin Porter that was on the Logan Co., WV 1940 Census that was born abt the same time. Parents are listed as Floyd and Lucille all was born in WV.
