Yes, I have seen errors in the veteran cards but I have seen much more in faulty research where assumptions are often made. Other data bases which list him as serving in the Revolution are Sons of the American Revolution Pennsylvania Society
Gov. Joseph Hiester Chapter REVOLUTIONARY WAR SOLDIER GRAVES and NSSAR Patriot & Grave Records.It was not unheard of for German natives of that era to travel to America several times. Once to procure land and then to bring their family and possessions. If you have verifiable data you wish to add to his memorial I would be happy to include.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our 'old soldiers" who had ties to Vermont. John Dart is one such photo. I am asking you if I may use the photo you contributed to his Find A Grave memorial page, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( You will receive credit for this.
