RE: Benjamin Vickery
there are several incorrect listings in the Central Nassau Cemetery, I am trying to correct them several should be in the Larkin cemetery, and some in the Nassau Schodack Cemetery, and Eli was buried in North Nassau Cemetery, but I cannot locate Benjamin, I would look in Mass. or elsewhere, just because he died in Nassau doesn't mean he was buried here. Good luck. Clytie

Benjamin Vickery
also, i finished the Central Nassau Cemetery, there is no other Vickery than lois, however there is a couple of stones face down, but there were some I did not discover either. There is a section of the cemetery heavily overgrown with wild rosebushes. clytie

RE: Benjamin Vickery
can you tell me what information you have that led you to believe he is buried in any of the Nassau cemeteries? Perhaps we can find him that way. Clytie

Benjamin Vickery
I am researching Benjamin, however, I cannot locate him in the Rens, or Nassau Indexes. Nor, can I find records of him in Stephentown. However, some graves are not listed. I am in the process of photographing Central Nassau Cemetery now and if I discover him I will certainly fulfill your request. Clytie

Eli Vickery and Benjamin Vickery
Eli is in North Nassau Cemetery, this cemetery is in need of clearing out. Some volunteers are getting together and hopefully will do that this year. I will get his photo if i can at that time. However, Benjamin and His wife Hannah Stevens are not in any of the Rensselaer, Nassau or Stephentown indexes. Sorry about that.

I am assuming you want to transcribe the bottom portion of this stone. I took a photo, but it is hard to make out the letters. Is this English?
I hope this helps. Let me know if this is not what you wanted. I could try again sometime, don't know if I could do any better.

I checked at the Hartley City Hall regaurding the Pleasant View Cemetery and they had no record of Joseph there and I also checked with the care taker there and he had no record either, so you may be right and he is burried at the other cemetery I will check with them and see if they have any record it is only about 45 min from my home. It will take me a little bit but will let you know what I find.

Wm and Mary Johnston
Hi Cynthia,
We searched the Montrose, Mo cemetery for the Johnstons and found 4 or 5 of the children's graves, but not William and Mary.
When we checked the cemetery books, we found a notation detailing all of the infant/children's dates (all children of WR and MA Johnston)...and also a notation saying that William and Mary had been moved to St. Louis!
If any of this is of interest to you, I will send you all the information and the pix that we did take. Your family is well known in the community as the owners of the "dog trot" cabin currently in Clinton, Mo!

RE: Carl Wellington Thornburg
Hi Cynthia,
You asked why I left "flower" of Carl's sight. He is not any relation that I have been able to pin point, he just popped up while I was taking a "Virtual walk" and since we had that same last name I had to leave some flowers. Hope you hunt is successful. I havent worked on my Thornburg genealogy in awhile. Have been helping my cousins on my mothers side for the last year or so Richard E. Thornburg is my father (#8202709)All my Thornburg's are in the Ohio/Iowa area so far.
