|Leah Hammons||LaRue family|
My name is Leah (Robins) Hammons and I have come across your name several times during my genealogical research. In particular, I found a photo of Cora Tackett LaRue and Josephine McPhee that you posted on the MyHeritage site, I believe. I wanted to see if you have any more information concerning the LaRue/Tackett/McPhee families.
My mother was Trieste Annette LaRue Robins, daughter of Louis Henry LaRue and Vanita Whitson, granddaughter of Cora Tackett and John Thomas LaRue. My mom passed away in 2014 and had been searching for information regarding her dad's parents and lineage for a long time with no success. My grandpa Louie didn't talk much about his parents, probably due to the fact that he was so young when they passed so we don't know much. I have found very little in my search as well. We have but one picture of Cora Tackett (with Clara LaRue), and one picture of John Thomas LaRue and that's about it until I came across your photos.
I was hoping you could share any knowledge you have of any of them. I am doing this research as a tribute to my mom and also as something I can pass along to my daughter. My mom used to keep in touch with her aunt Winnie on occasion and talked a lot about her great-aunt Nell and how she raised my grandpa Louie and his siblings after their parents died. We were always told that Cora was of Native American decent and I did find her mom listed as Dora Edue, whose father was John Edue and it listed Dora's mother as Cherokee indian but there are no details or concrete evidence to support it.
Anyway, I hope you can help and greatly appreciate anything you can tell me.

Thank you Alvin Nelson and Betty Schmidt for the info & photos of my great grandparents head stones, info, & photos, and my grandmother's , Mrs Lida Mae Baker, headstone and info. I am a great-grand daughter of Charles & Effie Wolf and I discovered Find a Grave by accident one late night trying to find my father's grave. I am greatful and glad to have found this information, as there were only entry dates and names in a page of the family Bible by Effie's sister who was also a teacher and had a one room school house which is in a photo my sister has. We have old photos of my great grand parents & immediate family members, cowboys who worked the farm, my father's catch of fish from a local river & other's which i hope we will post sometime soon. We know very little except what is on this site and some into from my aunt Mary who is up in CO. We were a navy family. My father, stepson to Walter Baker, had top secret clearance papers for Cape Canaveral or Cape Kennedy, as it is now named. I will try to post the photos for others who discover this site, but it has been a wealth of information to me. Thank you both again.

Good Morning, Alvin
I submitted a tombstone request for Samuel Samento's wife Rebecca Ann Minnie Mize. If you will upload same pic as you did for Samuel I will appreciate it & delete WWII marker from her page. Also I submitted a tombstone photo request for a Sgt. Samuel Samento buried same cemetery, the WWII marker belongs on his memorial page.
|Betty L. Schmidt||Thanks|
Thanks for Walter and Lida's headstone. You don't have to retake the photo. They are fine.
I appreciate you taking the time.
