When someone we love is in heaven, there is a little bit of heaven in our home.

A light from our household is gone
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
We have to mourn the loss of one,
We did our best to save;
Beloved on earth, regretted still,
Remembered in the grave.
'Twas hard to part with one so dear,
We little thought the time was near;
Farewell, dear one, your life is past,
Our love for you to the end will last.

Mary Jewett
Mary of England died 12 Apr 1652. Mary Mallinson's death date is actually her burial date. Jewett Family of America 1908 "Mary Mallinson: She was buried in Rowley, Mass., April 12, 1652." The actual dates are close, but not exact. Joseph probably didn't hear about his mother's death until quite later!
I found Mary Taylor's date of death (& Edward's) in a document from England that found totally by accident when I was surfing on the net. I have not been able to find it since. I wish I would have copied and pasted it, but was pretty excited when I found it. It also gave me the cemetery.
There are a lot of folks working this Jewett Family! Guess we have lots & lots of cousins! :)

Deb - I took a photo of the back of the marker to show all the markers in front of John Richard. You might want to take a look. You can see all the flags at the front entrance of the cemetery for Veterans Day in the background.

Edward and Gladys Spring
I searched the entirety of Babyland at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Aurora. I found Edward's grave but not Gladys's.

RE: John Richard Vogel
Deb, he is in the last row in that section. Perhaps I should have taken a photo grouping of the back of his stone so that you could see all of the other markers in front of his, which would give you a point of reference. I will put it on my list to do the next time I go.

You're welcome. If I don't do them right away, it quickly gets out of control!

Enjoy your day, too.

The memorial is now listed as a cenotaph memorial, meaning she has a marker in one cemetery but buried in another. I have moved the memorial with the cemetery she is buried in. Thanks for letting me know.
