Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a family historian I have only listed those family members who are in my Ancestry online tree to support my efforts. After many years of research, and with the help of several Brown cousins we have traced our family back to our 4th great grandfather William Brown b 1755 in VA d 1841 in Marshall County, IL. William was a Revolutionary War Veteran who joined the VA Militia at the age of twenty, moved his family to KY in the early 1800's, and boarded a Ohio River steamboat for IL in 1834. We are currently researching the Brown families of Marshall County, IL and Shelby County, KY to find out more about our William Brown.

Re: both your Findagrave Messages
I happened to be on Findagrave receiving transfers of 2nd great-grandpa and grandma's memorials and thanking Carol Wilson for her kindness and thought to drop you a line while I was here. I hadn't heard from you in a while . . .guess you survived the earthquake! grin!

Samantha Pitman Ullom #25885815
Hi, William, Got a question - "Yankee Graver" has stopped at my profile page and has left a message about his family of Pitman's. He's from Illinois originally. I gave him what I knew, which is mostly on Sam's memorial, but I looked in my files and I don't even have her parents. So do you know anything more about Sam's Pitman family cause I sure don't?

RE: Your Rev John Brown
Hi William, I would be very interested to see if DNA links us. I have done the Ancestry.com DNA, and have my results on Gedmatch.com, but as yet have not looked into FailyFinder DNA yet. I will have to see if and when my budget allows me to take the test and get back to you.
