I am a 25 year veteran of the US Military. My family came over on the Mayflower and has served this country since the first Militia was formed in Massachusetts in 1636. My 10th Great Grandfather, Jonathan Brewster was the Procurement Officer and my Uncle Love Brewster was a Private. My family fought in the Revolution, the war of 1812, the Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish American War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and I served through Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. |
Family names I'm looking for:
If you find an unmarked veteran grave, please forward all information you have so I can possibly have a headstone placed through the VA. I am the Camp Commander and Graves Registration Officer for the Col Edward D Baker Camp, Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, part of a National organization, one of our goals is to have all veterans graves marked!
God bless the USA and the Men and Women that have and continue to defend her!

I've added his name and location to the Memorial Day Flag list. The headstone had sunk several inches beneath the grass. It's not a veteran's stone, so it may have been a few years since it had a flag

Hello, No he is not a relative. I photograph at Forest Lawn because it is local to me. I have no relatives there. But very interesting to hear of your connection and it gives me greater appreciation for everyone who is there. Thank you!

May I use the monument photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave Memorial for Pvt. William Colby, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org) You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
Do you have the name Ezekiel Brewster in your line? He was one of the original proprietors of land in the town of "Old Sterling' Vermont.I believe he received the land for Rev.War service. He was one of the only proprietors to actually settle there. The Brewster River still flows in his memory, and the name is well recognized.

Absolutely! I appreciate the transfer of the Olds family memorials. Would you please include Alexander Reid (# 101855436) and wife Caroline Olds Reid (# 101855503)?
This means so much to me. Let me know if I can assist with anything in the San Antonio area or in this region of Texas.

Don, I'm requesting the transfer of memorial # 86123484 for Aaron K. Olds. He's my direct ancestor. Please see my earlier message (Laura Olds Reid). Thank you.
Kind Regards, Virginia Burke

Don, Thank you so much. I'm really amazed that so much of the marker was covered up but it was under some huge trees with many leaves over the years. My son wanted some day to fix it but I'm sure he didn't expect it to be so tall. I'll have to send him the picture. Thank you and your team for all you do. Barbara
