Joseph H.Williams - Midway cemetery
Finally got back down to Alabama. Inscription for Joseph Williams: "In the memory of Joseph H. Williams Born 1808 Died Apr 28 1886 The battle fought the battle won Enter thy masters joy henceforth safe across the river we shall see forever more a beloved house hold spirit waiting on the other shore" I have filled a request for Caleb Williams who is buried next to Joseph and also posted some other Williams grave photos that are in the same area. You may be interested.

I have tried to read the inscription. Enlarged etc but can only get a few words. I will be back in this area in the spring and will get a closer look and let you know. I go to this area at least once each year with a long list of "to dos" and only get some of them done in a two day search. This one will be at the top of my list....

RE: Andrew J Smith
I don't know anything about the cemetary. The fence was a nice touch.

I did take a closer picture of the smaller stone and just forgot to post it on the memorial. It is Walter Ditmore, but don't know the relationship between the tjree. I hope you do. There are no
more Ditmores listed in Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer, but I will check for cemeteries around this area.

Thanks for the verification. I just didn't want to post the wrong stone.

Yes, oval #3 is Robena Hart Parker. Oval #1 in the back is Susie Burney Parker. I will get the photo for Daniel Burney Parker posted.

If you look ate the photo of the family plot, The big stone is DE Parker and Robena Hart. The first oval is Ada, the second Daniel E, and the fourth Daniel G. The one on the back right is Daniel B. I have posted the photo for Daniel G based on the years of birth and death you sent. The other you requested was for Daniel Parker 1891-1910. This does not match any of the years and names you sent me. Any idea which one of these is the one you requested? As you can see, the weathering is almost identical.
