I have always been somewhat of a genealogy enthusiast having grown up listening and taking an interest in my relatives stories from the past! When "The Computer" came around in the mid 1980's then my interest skyrocketed. I have literally 20,000 names on an old DOS program that all I can do is keep an old backup copy stored of it! I have imported as much info as I can into my newer Windows version (Family Tree Maker), but still I only have 1/2 the info I once researched into the newer formats.|
Since life has taken control of my everyday activities, naturally my genealogy efforts have reduced dramatically. Now I try to update and add records as I see an obituary or other news worthy item in the paper, or as I am editing some info and then just stay at it while I have that remote chance! My mom has taken "the genealogy fever" over the past several years so it is good to have someone pick up where I left off!

HI! I have made the transfer & am happy to do it. I am glad that his memorial is now in the care of a family member who knew, loved & respected him. God Bless, m.g.
p.s. I noticed some typing errors (after I transferred the memorial to you), would you please correct them for me? Thanks.

|Danny Roble||Postcard of Erin Cemetery|
Hello, my name is Danny Roble. I found an old postcard today at an antique store in Kentucky. It is a photograph of people posing with gravestones, sometime in the late 1800's or early 1900's. The card is addressed to Mrs. J. C. Day of Adairvile, Kentucky. The sender writes that he or she does not know the people in the photo, but that the stone of "Brown Lashlee" can be seen. I love a mystery, so I searched for the Erin cemetery...I found a memorial for Stephen W. Lashlee. On his death certificate was the note that the informant was Mrs. J.C. Day. I assume you are related to this Mr. Lashlee. I know that if someone found something similar related to my family I would want to see it. Take care, Danny

Thanks very much for adding the links for them!

Mr. Lashlee, I am researching my Grimes line. I noticed in the notes it is stated she is the daughter of John Grimes and Elizabeth Betsy Walker. Do you have further information on her parents and/or siblings? My great-grandfather was Thomas Lee Grimes who married Sarah Roberta Mobley. I have conflicting information as to the parents of Thomas Lee Grimes.
Thank you for any information you wish to supply.

Happy to transfer it. I had received a request for a photo of someone in that plot, so I added those that were with the same name. I'll let you straighten it out. Probably good to leave a record in Oakwood with a notation that it is a memorial and indicate the location of the actual grave.

Rufus has the same note as Bedford Forest Wakeland 17940765. Rufus is the son of Bedford Forest and Louella A Ray Wakeland Diggs.
Would you take out the note?
Also there is an edit to link Rufus to his parents.

Hey you! I'm going up to Salt Lake next month and will pick up your photo request on my way through Phoenix. I haven't forgotten. If you need anybody researched while I'm up there, make me a list. ;)
