Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy on my family for 20 years - starting when my daughter was 2 years old. I hoped that she would appreciate our connection to US history - starting in the early 1600s. My in-laws were also involved in research of their families in Sweden and Germany. I will be posting cemetery information and photos for places I have visited across the Midwest and would like to link family members together.

Martha Dickey Crawford
Just wondered if you have found any additional information about Martha Dickey Crawford. The Dickey and Taylor families have close ties in the early days. We have not been able to find anything about our progenitor, Matthew Taylor, b. c 1690 in Ireland. It is said that he married Janet Wilson, but I don't think so. I think he married Janet Dickey, whom I believe was a sister to David Dickey. The Dickeys and Taylors used the same names for their children for several generations. I am especially interested in Dickey/Taylor ties back in Ireland. Thanks.

Sailor memorials
I can appreciate a cemetery not wanting people listed as being there if they aren't but this issue is a direct result of limitations of Find A Grave's user interface options. While updating my Uncle's memorial with an obit, I wanted to enter memorials for his wife and my cousin who were not listed in Find A Grave. Just so happens I added them to his cemetery because there was no option for cremated/not interred and I had already entered the other data.

FYI, Instead of suggesting the removal and recreation of memorials all that needs to be done is to edit the memorial and delete the cemetery - much less effort.

I've removed the cemetery names from my uncle's wife and child's memorials so they won't show up at your cemetery. I've also requested a transfer of his memorial.

Annie M. Winter
Annie M. Winter is the wife of James Everett Winter also buried at Oak Mound Cemetery, they share a stone you might want to update your entry for her. You have her listed as passing away Unknown when the stone she shares with her husband says 1996.
