My husband & I live in Cerrillos, New Mexico. We watch over the Cerrillos Protestant Cemetery and are Cerrillos Historical Society members. I am willing to take photos of the Cerrillos Protestant & Catholic cemeteries only. The two cemetery records are at the bottom of the Historical Society page.

RE: Walker family link
Hi sifting through my old messaging and following up on this. I was told by the fellow there that completed the cemetery survey at Capioma and he convinced me that this is not the John and Marcia who were Wallace's parents. This is based on the info he had for the wife. I am still searching for them, and haven't found them yet... would like to still be able to find them.. Warm regards,

RE: Walker family link
Hi- I researched this and the John Walker buried in Capioma Cem is there with wife Esther on the same stone. They had several children shown on 1870 & 1880 census in KS. In 1870 & 1880 Wallace is on the census with John and Marcia in PA. The folks buried at Capioma are a different family.

RE: Walker family link
Hi- I sought out Wallace and found his final resting place which was previously unknown, as well as many other details of his later life. I spent much time searching county records in Kansas to try to locate both John and Marcia's DODs and burial... Thank you much for this information, I will add it. Best regards,

Okay, glad I had the right person. Blackening is expensive but I am going to have to have it done soon for my grandpa.

You are most welcome.

I cleaned the stone a little we agreed with distilled water but Jean's name is still very light. I added her to his spouse thinking it was her but the name is different. Would you like me to remove it?

I will try to get there as soon as possible. You are very welcome. The office told me he had no stone when I went to inquire because at first I couldn't find it. I was so happy to see they were wrong!

As you can see, Thomas's stone is not a military one, I am just guessing, but maybe it was replaced when his wife died.
