I was born in Arlington, SD, but our family lived in nearby Hetland. During my grade school years we lived also in Lake Andes, Salem, and Canistota, all in SD. I graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Home Economics.
Since my marriage to Charles Reed, we have lived in Michigan where our children, John and Paul were born. I have been involved in my church as a teacher and in the women's groups.
A major activity at this time is genealogy. I have written 6 books on various lines of our family.
