I am a family historian in my fourth decade of researching, and most of the memorials I have created or manage are for ancestors and members of my widely extended family. About one in six are of either siblings or of direct relatives, though a slightly larger number are of more distant ancestors. The remaining two-thirds of the memorials I manage are for more distant relatives and their spouses, plus a few memorials for old friends of mine who had not yet been placed on FindAGrave.|
I have a special memorial here for my goddaughter, Anastasia WitbolsFeugen, and the domain at which I keep my email ("Stasia.org") is where her real memorial is.
I am grateful to all who visit these memorials, read their stories, and leave mementos for them. Should you find some of your own family among these, I am willing to transfer, as we're probably related anyway.

I have different some different information on Peter than you do. I have never found his definite immigration date nor where in Ireland he came from. If you can tell me where I can find this information as proof I would appreciate it. Also, per Gentry and Worth County History 1882, Captain C. C. Byrne (brother of Sarah Coulston Byrne O'Rourke) Sarah's parents were Michael and Elizabeth Dutterer. Michael immigrated to America in 1799-1800 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia.
Peter and Sarah's first 2 children were born in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania and children three and four were born in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee. The children 5 thru 8 were born in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri.

A beautiful heartfelt written tribute for this lovely young woman. (Carolyn Krueger)

I was adopted at birth and have recently been doing research on my roots. Joseph Rock is my great, great grandfather. I was astounded to find all this personal information written about his life. It's so wonderful to know these details because it makes him a real person, instead of just dry facts like birth and death dates. Thank you so much for all you do!

I am a McGinnis, and William S. was approximately my great, great, great uncle (it gets confusing. My g-g-g-grandfather was his brother Greenbury. I spent the afternoon at Find-A-Grave researching Uncle William, and learned so very much about him and his family due in part to your excellent research. I am so very impressed with your work. I knew a lot about William but your input, as well as others' in-depth research, really "fleshed out" Bill and his family, and what they endured. I feel a great deal of sympathy for them. Thank you so much for your detailed, exacting information. It is rare to find facts from other researchers I feel I can rely upon, and since I have been researching for about 15 years now, you are truly the exception in my experience. Thank you so much.

Third cousins once removed? Confusing. I get 3rd cousins, but what is considered once removed?
I am a descendant of James Conroy (the grandson). He is my maternal grandfather. I was in St Joseph last year and found Sarah & James Conroy headstone, but could not make out Sarah's inscription.
Can you possibly decipher the inscription and post it here?

Thank you for the great job you have done with your memorials and the informative narratives that you have added to them. Really helped as I was researching this family yesterday.
|dwlee3||Anna Hawkins Bird|
Could you please make a few changes to Anna Hawkins Bird, memorial 93233223?
Her maiden name is Anna Emma Mead.
Her father: William Henry Mead, memorial: 46675579.
Her mother: Elizabeth Matilda Young Mead, memorial: 46675578.
Her first husband: Jesse G. Hawkins, memorial: 51484237.
She also has another son who died as an infant who is also buried at Ridge Cemetery: Byron T. Bird, born 2/3/1879, died 8/10/1879.
Thank you so much for doing this!

I have added the changes you requested to Isabella Ross. Since she is a member of your family, I would be happy to transfer management to you.
