My husband Larry and I love working together to build our family tree. We feel blessed when we can add records to findagrave that help people find their family, too.

We love that we found this website. It has assisted in solving some mysteries.

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?

First, determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Second, transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Third, if you have extensive additions/changes to make to a memorial, please contact the Find A Grave member who created the memorial.

Happy hunting everyone! =)

Memorial duplication

Find-a-Grave Memorial #'s 66931693 & 90608029 represent a duplication. (Birth date is incorrect in 66931693--should be Dec. 11, 1882). Each memorial contains significant information. Would it be possible for you and Pam Leonard (Find A Grave#47130330), who manages the other site, to somehow coordinate with each other and reduce this to a single site for Della Gatlin Thresher Campbell? Della was my wife's much beloved grandmother and there is much we can add in the way of photographs, etc.

I am sending a similar request to Pam Leonard at

Sincerely yours,
James H. Lynn Find A Grave#49073161

Minnie Lee Hickey Bennett
I am looking for the headstone of M. L H. Bennett. On her death certificate it shows her burial at 2 mile lake, Dundee, Mississippi. I have contacted people who have trees in Ancestry and one has said that all the Bennetts are buried in Abbeville. Are you aware of any cemetery near 2 mile Lake. (I find that 2 mile lake is a precinct near Dundee). Also there is a community center there. I looked on findagrave and find that Toxie Lee Bennett Odum is buried in Abbeville even though she lived in Oxford and died there. A couple of Minnie's children died in Oxford. Toxie Lee Bennett Odum was the mother of Joyce Buchanan and her son Jason Knight owns a business in Oxford and I would like to get in touch with him if possible. Allen White from Fremont, California. Henri Derouin & Rose Kingsbury
Hi Cathie - My maiden name is Kingsbury from Quebec, Canada. Rose Kingsbury's parents were Francois Xavier Kingsbury & Marcelline Demers from Hull, Quebec, Canada. To my knowledge Henry Derouin and Rose Kingsbury had 5 children: Antonio, Leonard, Lorenzo, Antoinette and Oscar and a child stillborn in 1898. I would be extremely grateful if you have additional information or photos for this family. Thanking you in advance, Dee
