I have a file on the crash and also have received material from other relatives of the crash victims, including General Cullen's nieces. Are you referring to the men being spirited away by Russian subs to captivity in the Soviet Union? Reasonable and likely but there's no proof. When I was a military reporter I wrote about this numerous times.
|Amelia Bogard||FORREST ancestry|
Meryl, I have just discovered your approved DRT application with Elisha FORREST as your ancestor. I am quite excited. I am a descendant of R.O. "Dick's" brother Elisha King. I knew the Forrest family came to Texas in 1846, but I had not found the date. This encourages me to submit my supplemental applications for Elisha and Sarah and son E.K. I joined on my dad's mother's side. I proved Shamrock Forrest as my DAR ancestor. Would love to share family history with you. My maiden name was/is Forrest. I am studying your DRT application on famliysearch. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for reading my tribute to our mutual ggrandfather. I guess we are cousins in the Proctor lineage. Nice to meet you too.
Jamestowne Society has removed John Proctor from their roles. They claim he and Alice were too old to have children when they came to Jamestown. Alice arrived with their oldest child, William. They then had 6 other children in VA. Painful for me as I live close to Jamestown. I was named after Catherine Proctor, my ggrandmother, and always knew of the Proctors. My line migrated to NC.
I oftened wondered if any descendants read my tributes on FindaGrave. Thank you for letting me know you cared enough and contaced me.
Thanks for allowing me to view your files. I was blown away by the picture of my GGG grandmother Mary M. Grantham. I had no idea pictures of her existed. I would like to know if would be asking too much to get a invite to your files for Mary's GG granddaughter. Can you email me via regular email so that I can give your her name and email? She is Vida Mae Lacey's daughter. I also noticed a correction or two that could be made to your Lacey info. Thanks.

Would love to be able to view your files! My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org

It looks like we have about the same line. Daughter of Daniel G. and Mary Thacker Grantham, Sarah A. (Sallie) Grantham is my GG grandmother. She married a Elam and they had a daughter, Ella (buried next to Sarah in Abilene) who married my great grandfather, John Lacey. I have an old picture of Sarah and her sons.
I would love more Grantham history. I have quite a lot about the Boones and Bryans,but not much other that Daniel Grantham in that line.
Roy Lacey, Yukon,OK
I was passing through here looking for Sarah A. Grantham's(GG grandmother)grave marker and I noticed posts by Grantham's and Boone's. Ned Boone (Daniel's brother is my GGGGG grandfather. I must be distantly related to some of you.

If interested, just followi the links from Elizabeth Boone. I am working on combining all of the Grant memorials. Mine goes through John Grant.
