RE: Doak Family
My father is Thomas Jackson Cothern born 1932. I live about 3 hours from Granbury and am planning a trip up there because I have so many family members buried there and lived there,I can't wait to go it is the next trip on the list. I did find a Katie Elizabeth I believe to be my grandfather's cousin so I put her picture up on Ancestry.

RE: Doak Family
Is there any documents stating that William Doak is her father? Oh I love the story,I had heard there were a lot of double cousins. I would have liked to have known William and Laura. I have a lot of photos he took of my dad and his siblings,he even wrote my dad postcards when my dad was in the army. I have a photo of a Katie I am trying to identify, she said she was my grandfather(Alfred Jackson Cothern's cousin. Maybe you can identify it. It says she is 90 yrs old in the pic.

RE: Doak Family
I looked up the Mt Tabor info, very interesting. So Apukshunnubbee is her father not her mother? That means William Doak (1784-1832)is not her father? Why then is her last name Doak.

RE: Doak Family
Hi Karen,Yes I am part of the Rhea line. John Deskin Rhea is my great great grandpa which makes Sarah Ann Doak my 4th great grandmother. Sorry for the confusion. I need some kind of documentation showing that Sarah Ann Doak is the daughter of William Doak and Tioka. Thank you for any help you can givd.

Sincerely,
Jackie Cothern-Boatman

Doak Family
Hi Karen,I am researching the Fannin/Doak family and am trying to collect the info on Sarah Ann Doak so that I can qualify for the DAR. I am from the Cothern family. A family friend said you may have some insight. What I need is a document showing who her parents are. I would appreciate any help.

Thank you,
Jackie Cothern-Boatman

Joseph Edwin Wood
Karen, thank you so much for contacting me. I am so happy to find the info on Find A Grave that your links allowed me to find. B. Wood (daughter-in-law of Boyce Wood) & I have researched this family for some time. However, we haven't done anything recently so I was delighted to see the info on the memorials. Unfortunately, I couldn't see a way to link them unless you are the owner of the memorial. There is an "edit" key & I may try that tomorrow. Unless the parents are listed, how do you link siblings? Joe Edwin Wood's memorial is #78539248 & Margaret "Maggie" Thurlo Wood's memorial is #135252285. I hope you will email me nbaxter@ipa.net & we can exchange info. I know Becky would love to make contact with you. Thank you!!!

Earl & Dorothy Wood
Hi,
Here's a query about your aunt and uncle on craigslist in Spokane:
person has photos that were found in their home.
http://spokane.craigslist.org/laf/3453908350.html
We found some old memorabilia from Earl/Dorothy Wood, presumably from their old house, from the 1940's/1950's, including several negatives. If anyone knows how to locate the family, please let me know.

Earl and Dorothy Wood
I'll be glad to transfer your aunt and uncle to you if you want, and the other Woods in that cemetery, too, if they're related...or even if they're not!
