You have done a wonderful job with the Chubb memorials, love all the pics on the memorials. My husband is Bill Chubb...Kenny,your father is Bill's first cousin & they were very close cousins.I came into the family in 1968 & love all the family, very blessed to have them as family. We lived in Ohio & would go to visit family in Hymera & stayed at Buck & Rene quit often. I remember Your Father, said he wanted us to stay there,so we could stay up nights & talk,so he would give his bed to us & sleep on the sofa. Love Kenny & Dean & Buck & Rene very much. I remember you when you & your sisters were girls were all so beautiful.

RE: my grandpa
No, I'm not related I tend to find a family member in a cemetery and if its not done I just do the whole Cemetery. Would you like the Memorial? If you do just let me know.

criss chubb
kyria, hi i saw your post for criss chubb, and suddenly had a new person to reach. my great great grandpa, jacob burger, had a sister named amanda who was criss chubb's mother. he was my 1st cousin 3x's removed. so my question to you kyria, do you know of any other pictures of these people or their families that you could share with me. i would really appreciate it. i find it interesting that my grandma, florence burger, had a brother whose name was also spelled "criss". i wonder if it was just bad grammer or thats how they spelled it ?? also what relation are you to criss chubb ?? thanks for your time!

Kyria, I've made the Chubb and Miller transfers that I had created. Some of the other memorials had not been created by me so they were not mine to transfer. You should contact the memorial creator(s) to inquire about transfer. Also, it looks like I made a mistake with Harold Chubb. A Ms. Ellis had created that memorial several years before I created mine. So mine was a duplicate - my bad. However contact Ms. Ellis and inquire about a transfer - she has transferred Marshall relatives to me before and I'll bet she'll do the same for you. However you may want to transfer the gravestone photo I took as Ms. Ellis' memorial has no gravestone photo. No hurry in doing any of this - just a duplicate memorial - I shouldn't have created a second. Send a message if you have any questions.

Good luck with your research, and all my best. Dan Stropes.

Kyria, just transferred Harold D., Lorene, Patricia A. and Raymond C. to you. I also have done work at nearby Long's Chapel Cem. in Sullivan Co. My relatives in the area are Marshall, Keene/Keen, Carroll, Sevier and Johnson. I need to return to Claiborne as some grave stone photos I took were not too good.
Please let me know about any others.

Kyria, There is no cost to transfer or record information on this site. As the first person to record the memorial data I am the recordholder until I transfer it or die myself.

As you can see I've already transferred your Dad's memorial to you. Since you now maintain it you have access to editing the memorial information. The memorial # at bottom of page is the reference key. For example you can look up your Dad's relatives buried in Claiborne Cem, get their memorial #s, then go into "relationships" on your Dad's memorial and post the memorial #s of his parents and spouse. Then you can do that with your Dad's other relatives. Soon you will build a family tree of sorts from their burial information. You can also add photos, notes and other information any time you want.

I look at the process as recording history for others to use and for you to maintain records of the burial information about your relatives. Some day your kids might want to know about their family history.

The whole process is free - there's a first time for all of us, but once you get used to it you will become a genealogy researcher just like the rest of us volunteers.

From the information you sent me about your Dad and Mother I can see some other Chubb burials in Claiborne you are likely related to. If you want just review the other Chubb burials in Claiborne, send me a list of those I created to whom you are related, and I'll be glad to transfer them to you. Believe me I'd just as soon transfer memorials I've created to relatives - it's the right thing to do, plus others have gladly transferred memorials of my relatives to me.

The "frequently asked questions" section answers most any other question you might have.

Sorry I get so long winded. Just let me know about those relatives and I'll initiate a transfer.

Kenneth R. Chubb

Sorry for the delay but I have made the changed you suggested for the Kenneth R. Chubb memorial. As you are a relative won't you consider letting me transfer the memorial to you? Please let me know.
