Glenn Norris
Thanks so much for getting back to me. Funny how we start thinking about "old times" as we start getting older (I'm only a few years younger than Senpai Norris was at the time his death). I had stopped training (grandmother duties) before he moved back to Texas and didn't know he had died until fairly recently.

Anyway, I'm not on Facebook and wouldn't want to disturb his brother who is having health issues. If you should happen to come in contact with him please tell him there are a great number of people who were students of Glenn Norris and thought a great deal of him.

Thanks again, Vicki Peterson

Glenn Arthur Norris
My interest is as a former karate student who trained under Senpai Norris in the 1980's in Fresno, California. I thought you might be knowledgeable about the Norris ancestry. I believe I have found Glenn Norris' mother.

The Texas Birth Index gives his parents as J. H. Norris and Hazel Ann Keightley. There is a Hazel Ann Norris born March 14, 1919 in Texas and died April 16, 1981 in Merced County, California and is also buried in Merced County, California. (Find-A-Grave)

I have found what I believe is her birth certificate with a different middle name but the exact same birthdate; March 14, 1919 in Brazoria County, Texas. Hope I spelled the county correctly.

RE: Margaret Ann McShan
Thanks. It is confusing when you come across a name in some records that you don't know about. It was the first I had heard of the marriage to a Cross. Those type situations are not uncommon. Dan

Margaret Ann McShan
Barbara,

On your grandmother, Margaret Ann McShan, the U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007, gives her name in 1938 as Margaret McShan Cross. I have her first married to William Thomas Turner and then to George F Pritchett, but I have not record of her marrying a Cross. Do you know anything on this?

RE: Ward and Cullum Family
Your husband is my 4th cousin 1xr.We were born in the same year. If he would like to see my ancestry tree I can send you an invite. You need a user name and password but it's free. I will set the invite so you can see living people. My Ward line is an enigma to me because my cousin Mollie is listes as a Caves as is her brother James born 10 years apart. Yet Mollie's children (Johnsons) state their Mother as Mollie Knight.I recently met a 3rd Caves cousin who is sending me a book listing my lineage back to 7th great grandparents. Perhaps she will have the records to prove if Emaline was married. Ah, the fun of the hunt. So we are cousins! Nice to meet you.

Ohio cousin, Dianne

RE: Juanita Johnson Cullum
The Wards are my paternal 4th cousins. The lineage is from my 3rd great grandfather William Caves. Please let me assure you, I would never disrespect the spirit of anyone's ancestors. I have cleaned and photographed over 4,000 headstones.I truly do care. I felt so sad about Kathy's death. These people carry my genes and the more I learn because of people like you, the more I see myself. I never knew my Caves family. My Great Grandmother was a Ward, my Grandmother a Frazier and she married a Caves. All in and around McMinn, Tennessee. Thank you for your kindness.

Rosamond Joyce Kline
Rosamond Joyce Kline was my father's stepmother. She was known to all of us as Aunt Joyce. She did not like the name Rosamond. Joyce was a very successful businesswoman in Washington, DC and a great role model to me.
When she was much, much older and retired, she had Carolyn Davis, a former secretary at the office, as her live-in caretaker and companion. After a while, none of her family or old friends were able to get in to see her anymore and news of her passing in late 2001 was found out only by accident.
Norman (Chub)Joyce was Joyce's brother. The "Duffy's" were the beloved boxer dogs that Joyce had over the years. There were several "Mr. Duffy" and a "Lady Duff" or two. Joyce was also an avid fish lover, having several large aquariums in her home.
I was surprised and pleased to see them all here together. It gave me some closure.

There were 3 different names and dates of birth and death. I added the one that wasn't shown and it is shown on the page rather than her own name and dates. I can't edit it. Just wanted to let you know since you are the administrator- maybe you can click the down arrow and make that be a hidden photo rather than her main one. I am wondering if the other 2 names listed are relatives? Norman Joyce and then there is a woman whose maiden name was Joyce? Thanks so much.
