|Beth Blair||Billy Triplett|
I am going to stop by Mt. Zion on my way to work this afternoon and see if I can find his stone.
|Greg Hetzler||Pleasant Plains Cemetery|
Just a note, I placed this statement on your photo requests today for your Pleasant Plains memorials
This must be an unmarked burial site. This cemetery was walked earlier this year by a Find A Grave volunteer. I also walked the cemetery today and then visited the church office. The church representative reviewed burial registry. This person was not listed, though there are many older grave sites that are listed in the record book unknown.

Thinking he is buried in Lenoir not Gastonia best way to find out is call the Funeral Home and make sure The Gastonia Church has no Cemetery
Some information I found:
Overton (Ove) Hitchcock (1849-1929)married Frances E. Pace (1856-1893)on 12/19.1875 it appears they also had an infant son, named after his father who was born and died on 7/10/1892
Per the 1860 census, his mother was Mary Hitchcock born in South Carolina and age 43 at the time. His father John, was a farmer, age 35 at the time and born in Georgia. He also had siblings; Lucy 14 and John 12.
Hope this is useful :)
