Caroline Guse head stone
I my name is Russ Yerk i was wondering what happened to the stone? Caroline is my 2nd great grandmother and the farm it was found at belonged to my great grandfather William Yerke. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Russ

I have all of Thomas Drake b1635 Colyton, England with his wife Jane Holbrook's children and some their grandchildren and greatgrandchilren.
I am a direct descendant of John Drake b 1500 of Ashe, England up to my Elizabeth Drake b 1724/25 in East Greenwich, Kent Rhode Island and William Cory/Corey and then her marriage to his brother (William died) Thomas 1747/48.
Have all of the Cory/Corey's too and the Whites, Slocum's and more!!!! Been at this now for 70 years.

Randy, I just realized that the Washington Street Cemetery in Easton was not established until 1796. Joseph Drake d. in 1780 and Mercy Smith Drake d. in 1759. therefore I don't think they are buried there.
The Easton Town Clerk found no records for them.

Dear Ms. Burnett,

I have checked our records and I am sorry, but there is nothing listed for Joseph or Mercy Drake.

Maybe they are in the Weybridge Cemetery after all.

I'll try an e-mail to the Town Clerk in Easton. Maybe we'll get lucky!

Your logic makes perfect sense and most likely you are correct. Are you located close to Easton that perhaps you could check sometime with the office for the Cemetery in Easton to see if they have anything in their records?

Best, Beverly

Hi, Vermont Vital Records 1720-1908 shows that both Joseph and Mercy died in Easton, MA, however, these records indicate Weybridge Cemetery as the burial place for both Joseph and Mercy. Perhaps the children had their parents re-interred in Weybridge. Joseph and Mercy were my sixth great grandparents.
Best regards,
