Snow family of Brookfield, VT
Back a while ago I took a number of photos of Daniel Snow and family in the Brookfield Center Cemetery. I also transferred some of my memorials to you. I've been going through a lot of old photos my wife and I inherited from her parents who were local historians. One of the photos is what we're pretty sure of is the old Snow residence on Snow Road in Brookfield. The house was torn down a number of years ago and a small log cabin sits on the site now. It originally was the home of a Judge Griswold before Daniel Snow and family owned it. I found on an old orange county gazateer map W Snow living at that location. Probably Willard. Anyway, if you're interested I'd be happy to send you a copy of the old home. I will need an email or some other way to send it.

I spent the better part of this summer unearthing the flat stones in the back part of Glenwood Cemetery so they could be documented before they were lost. I'm not sure if I got them all but looked for the indentations in the ground, some were already too late to be able to decipher. I'm glad to be able to help someone find a lost relative and I'd be happy to transfer yours to you.

RE: The Pfaus
Thanks for the reply. Could this be Francis' gravestone?:

The Pfaus
I was researching my Pfau line, and I found your findagrave entries - and ancestry posts - about Francis von Pfau/Halstead. I believe he is the brother of my great-great-great-grandfather (Albert Robert Pfau, Sr., findagrave entry here:, so it appears we would be distantly related.

On the findagrave entry, it has a copy of an obituary that talks about how Albert immigrated to America with his family, but his parents died on the way. It also mentions Frank Halstead, and two other siblings, a brother it says the family lost track of, and a sister Caroline, who married a Schroeter (who died just a couple weeks after Albert).

From what I've seen of your information on the von Pfau/Pfau line, I think it matches up. Albert also lived in Bedford, NY, at least at the time of the 1850 Census.

I'm descended from the Pfaus through my great-grandfather, James Pfau, and his father, Albert Robert Pfau, Jr., son of Albert, Sr. How do you tie in?

RE: Johnson's Graves
You are welcomed and it was great talking with you too. Hope you find a younger person in the family to train and take over your account. Kathy

RE: Photocopy
Yes, that is what I meant previously, it all looks good. Wish it had their birth years written by them also. But, we'll take what we can get!
Aura and Luroxy are connected with Chauncey now.

There is no doubt in my mind who Luroxa is.

Thank you Jone, that addition is perfect! Am I reading that stone correctly, died age 40 in 1830?

It might mean Chauncey was married to yet a 4th person and that is not her, as I thought in the 1850 census, and then she is not mother of as many children as thought.

Luroxa Beach who married Curtis Brewer
Hi Jone,

I tried contacting you via ancestry also, to ask if you would be willing to share a scanned list of siblings of Laura Beach. There is such little avail written record of them, yours is one of the few. We still do not have a list of boys.
Also, I had Chauncey Beach transferred to me, in hopes to connect him and I wrote a bio. I wish for you to be okay with it, so I am letting read and have your say! #81143270

Feel free to contact me directly if you wish
