RE: Wilbur Warner
Jamie,

Thank you for your message. It does look like these records need some straightening out!

One problem is that you have Wilbur buried at Union Cemetery, whereas I took the photo of his marker at Athens County Memory Gardens. That's how that duplicate happened.

If you'll change the cemetery on your record, I'll be glad to delete mine. Just let me know when you have that done.

I didn't create either of the records for Albert, so I can't fix that duplicate problem.

Thanks!
Wanda

I just sent you an edit that needs to be disregarded for Edmund Humphrey. I made a mistake.

Jesse Lunn (#59758826)
Hello Jamie,

I have been searching for this person for so many years and thanks to a few tips have finally tracked him down here. Jesse is my GGG Grandfather! His first wife ( the one he had 10 children with) is buried back here in PA about 120 miles from me. I live in Cuba, NY.

Anyhow, I was wondering if you would be so kind as to give me ownership of Jesse since he is in my direct line and I already have his wife, Chloe. It would mean the world to me.

Thanking you kindly for your consideration,

Tim Lunn

Duplicate Memorials for Wilbur and Albert Warner
Hello,

I got a message from you about duplicate memorials for Wilbur Warner and Albert Warner. I'm always glad to fulfill this kind of request, but I'm having trouble finding the duplicates. My record for Wilbur Warner is 138193800, but I can't find your record. You also said that I have a duplicate record for Warner's father, Albert, and I do see your record for him. I've never made any records for Meigs County though, so I don't think there's a dup here either.

I would be happy to transfer my record for Wilbur to you if you would like.

St Johns Cemetery Pomeroy
Hello,

I notice that you photographed a headstone in St Johns Cemetery, Pomeroy, Meigs, OH.

I am searching for a missing ancestor. A now deceased cousin (#90243150 Lloyd Lewis Burt) remembers going to the cemetery as a child. He described it as being upon a wooded hilltop.

The ancestor is named John Burt. He was the ferry operator in Pomeroy, and drowned while ferrying passengers, probably sometime around 1850-1870. His son's birth certificate (# 37200355 Lewis W. Burt) lists John's birthplace as Scotland.

Based on this, I conclude that he lived within walking distance of the river, and would be buried in a Scottish Presbyterian cemetery upon a wooded hilltop which was operating at that time. Looking at the county maps, St John's cemetery seems the most likely candidate.

I do not know how often you are in that area, but if possible it would be lovely to get a photo of this headstone.

I have not been fortunate enough to get contact with anyone who can provide a plot number, perhaps you might recommend a contact for that?

Yours,

J Burt

Jamie,
I see you are doing research on the Riggles. Are you decended thru Andrew Jackson? I am thru his brother George W. We are having a Riggle reunion in Wytheville Va. the 11th of August. Of course Andrew and Georges father was Simon from which we all came. We would love to meet you. I live in Columbus, Ohio. Let me know.
