Searles Ohoto Request

Have checked the Searles' Lot (#861) in Union Cemetery, Port Henry, NY and the only gravestones visible are for Grove Searles and E. May Searles.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Josiah Brown
I also checked the library records for Josiah. Josiah Brown's name is listed in the Carlock Democrat Cemetery records (and I found the date of death is October 3, 1842 (57 yrs)), but there is no graver marker where the library notes it should be. I did find his daughter Cemantha's stone. Please let me know if you want that picture. I also have the names of his other children, if you need them.

William Brown
I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave for William Brown so I went to the local library which has great records! William Brown's name is listed in the East White Oak Cemetery records (and I found the date of birth is November 17, 1778 and date of death is June 16, 1845), but no lot number or grave number.

RE: Ellery M Tappan
No, it isn't a mass burial site. They are individual graves. There just aren't very many headstones, and I didn't find one for him. There are little metal markers, but the information on them is long gone.

Well, I took photos of the entire cemetery a couple of weeks ago. So many are illegible. I am now entering them, hopefully I will find the others but I am not hopeful. They are usually in close order. Also many are turned over etc...Keep your fingers crossed. Thanks, karen

RE: Nancy Denune Madison
I found Carrie McNutt, she was listed as Caroline in the cemetery list. So I took a chance and looked it up at the grave site.
As far as Elton Dunune, he is listed at where I only found Salsgiver markers. But he is also listed as being buried at that place.

RE: Charles Ogden Tappan, Jr.
You're welcome. Glad I could help. Somehow I guess I missed him when I posted the other Tappan photo's. He was with all the others.
