Theresa Koran
Kristin - I replaced the photo of Theresa's stone with the most current one that includes Andrew, so you can remove yours (if you want to). *Eileen

Newton Hodapp
I finally had a chance to look at the microfilm at the library. Looking at the burial card for that plot,51D, there is no Newton Hodapp listed. There is however a Joseph N. Hodapp listed with a date of April 17, 1880. However in the burial by date book I could never find any mention of Newton Hodapp, only Joseph N. The date on the card also puzzles me since the obituary index had a July date. I don't know, I am beginning to wonder if Joseph N. and Newton are not the one and same person. Also Riverview did not open until 1882 and many bodies were moved there from other cemeteries and some of the records were recreated and I have found errors before in the early records. Afraid I can't clear this up at this time.

RE: Newton Hodapp grave
I am having second thoughts on that obituary. You also had a requests in for a Joseph, which I did not find. Anyway his death date was listed as 1880 so that may have been him. Like I said I will take a look at the burial records and see what I can find.

RE: Newton Hodapp grave
There was no inscription on either the front or the back of the stone. The only inscription was on the top and you had to trace the letters with your hand to be sure that it spelled NEWTIE. I will check the cemetery burial records the next time I go to the library to see if there is a burial date.
In my obituary index book there is an entry for the Thursday July 1, 1880 edition of the Brownstown Banner that states, J. H. Hodapp's son, aged 9 months, died on Sunday.

RE: William Hayzer
You're welcome. He's in the same cemetery as your g'father. When I cemetery walk, I'm always on the lookout for a familiar name. *Eileen

Geo Dougherty @ StL Calvary
I am sorry, but the office does not know exact where the section 5-4 is. It have not appeared on any map for 50 years.

Please see the caption.
