RE: Lemuel S. Blake headstone
You're very welcome, I was glad to see that Fairfield Cemetery is being a little better taken care of this year.

RE: Samuel Kenton Ward
Sorry, it should be Simon Kenton Ward. According to his death certificate he died July 1, 1934 in Culloden, Cabell County, West Virginia. His father was Samuel Vincent. and mother was Cynthia Isabella Fuller. So is Simon buried there? Also you say that Samuel Vincent was cremated? Thank you.

RE: Samuel Kenton Ward
It has to be the same one! My Samuel Vincent Ward died July 1987. His father was Samuel Vincent that died in Cabell County. So you say he was cremated and his ashes are buried in the Ward Cemetery? Thank you so much.
Dottie that is 3 not 13. Thanks.

RE: Mike Vance headstone
My pleasure, I'm entering photos and information for all the readable markers on the hill behind the church. Hopfully on my next trip I'll get all the ones on the hill across the road from church.

Thanks for sending the obit for Virginia Farmer but I found someone had entered her while still living so had to delete my entry. Thanks anyway!

RE: Do you know if this is same cemetery?
The McCloud photos I took were in the Fry Cemetery section at Community Memorial Gardens. It is my understanding the cemetey was moved there when the East Lynn Dam was built.

Cremens in WV
I wanted to say thank you for the photos of the Cremeans graves which you posted on

As for your photos ... may I have permission to post them (and any other of your photos of my ancestors' and/or their graves that you may have posted or will post in the future) on my Ancestry.comfile. I post a message under the photo (see the red text below for the content of the post) and my tree is private so people must request permission from me to view my file on I now require people to prove their line to me before I allow them access to my tree. I have no interest in publishing any books or using the photos in any way other than for genealogical purposes. I have several things I post under the photos depending on the "owner" of the photo's desires. I have two below ... if you will allow me to post your grave photos on my Ancestry file then I'll place the statement of your choice. The second one has a _____ in it and that's where I would place your e-mail address so people can contact you directly for permission.

NOTE: This photo was obtained from a photo volunteer and the volunteer has kindly given me permission to post this on my file. You must take the steps to contact the owner of the photo for permission to use this photo for your personal use ... permission is NOT granted by me for any use as it is not mine to give.

Again, thank you so much for your kindness ... Find A Grave volunteers are wonderful people :-)
