Genealogy addict, bibliophile, travel enthusiast, and cat lover! Unfortunately I don't get to travel nearly as much as I would like, and have had to rely on the kindness of "strangers" to help me with quite a bit of my family research. I am, therefore, happy to be able to "pay it forward" whenever I have the opportunity! I post/manage primarily family memorials, but also enjoy posting memorials to others who might seem to be lost to history. If you have found someone here that you believe to be an ancestor, I will be happy to transfer management of their memorial to you.|

Hi! After I posted the picture of the gravestone I found at Prospect Hill cemetery for Adam Blessing, I realized it probably wasn't the Adam Blessing you were looking for. Would you like me to post it again and you can make that determination?

|P.O.W. Dad||Waldemar E. "Walt" Nierste|
Just wanted to let you know I linked Walt to his wife Anna.
Sorry your transfer requests got lost in my Find A Grave corrections request file. I TX'd them to you today.
|Harvey Bell||RE: Hello|
here is an URL that you can use to look up the Nierstes in Bethel aft Freelandville. There a number of them.
I looked at the photos I took at Bethel the same day, didn't include any of Nierste, sorry.
|Harvey Bell||RE: Hello|
I entered all of the photos I had of Nierste in Salem just now. Oscar and Matilda are among them.
Take a look, request a transfer for the ones you want and they are yours.
Sorry about that. He had two wives, the second was on his memorial, I assumed otherwise. Removed it and made a new entry for the other wife placing the mistaken photo there.
You can make another photo request. Last year I photographed all of the monuments at Salem. I could not find your request among them. A caveat: there are one hundred and forty out of the eight hundred some with illegible inscriptions.
I hope to go back this summer and try some "tricks" to bring out the otherwise invisible inscriptions.
Some I can make out the dates on and I have been successful in the past finding a listing in the Historical Society at Vincennes that I can compare them to.
I transferred his second wife to you complete with a photo of her on his monument.

|Patricia Lawson||RE: Furbeck photos|
You are very welcome. I am happy to help. I also transferred for you. If I come across any othr Furbecks, I will post that as well. Check back, I will be completing the entire cemetery, stone by stone and entering everyone with a marker (photo included) by the end of the weekend, the rest (unmarked) I will have to go to the cemetery office when i have more time.

Wow I didn't know Bethel Church had a Edwardsport address, it must be on the edge of the line as it is only about a half mile or so from Freelandville. But the Cemetery is right on the far side next to the church and it's the cemetery listed in Freelandville on findagrave. If you go to the Bethel web page it's the same picture of the church as on the findagrave. There is someone that regularly volunteers to take photos at that cemetery. Though I did go out there a couple of years ago to take some for my husbands family that are buried there.

There is no Bethel Church Cemetery here in Edwardsport. There is only 2 Cemeterys here, there is the Edwardsport I.O.O.F and the Edwardsport Town cemetery. There nearest Bethel Church Cemetery is about 5 miles in Freelandville.
