Bio and Links
Bio Photo Have been tracing my family for about 30 years. My family is the Engle, Adams, Fortney, DuVall, Cole, Smith and many others. Most have their roots in IL, OH, NJ, PA and CA.

I enjoy the research and helping others find their roots. I am willing to go to cemetery's in Pontotoc, Lafayette, Union counties in MS and some areas of Lee, Calhoun, and Chickasaw counties MS.

If you need help with record lookups or any other information I am willing to try and help as much as possible.

If I list someone in your family, a friend or someone of interest to you I am more than happy to transfer them to you unless they are my family. Pretty much any ones from Mississippi are not family, they are from the cemetery's I have gone to.

RE: Mary Woolman Engle Find A Grave Memorial# 167711034
no worries.... to be honest, I don't remember writing, it must have been a "FYI" :) I have run into that situation at least once, with a great grandfather. Anyway, thanks for writing and Happy New Year!

No, I came across his obit as I am researching my husband's Miller branch. Junior's brother, Warren, married Verna Mae Miller.

RE: Jesse Green Williams
Thank you very much Lisa. Thanks for your work in findagrave and we probably would have never known about the marker had it not been for your volunteering and your efforts. It is much appreciated.

RE: Jesse Green Williams
I stand corrected as I had the wrong county and did not realize it until just now. I have made the correction. I entered several relatives when I posted Jesse Green and my mistake.

Thank you,

Jesse Green Williams
Ms. Engle,
I saw your post to my cousin Kay Robertson regarding the tombstone for Jesse Green Williams. I have this information I got personally from Ron Williams, Jesse's great grandson, back in 2005. "According to Odis Drury, dau of Lillian May Williams Turner, Jesse is buried in the Turner family cemetery known as the Salmon Cemetery in Pontotoc, MS. She remembers her mother saying Jesse's memory was so bad they had to place him in a state facility in Jackson after being declared a lunatic by the state of MS. His dau. Lillian May and her hus. signed papers and inherited his land. Looks like he may have returned to MS after wife died in OK in 1903. Lillian brought him back home before he died when he failed to respond to treatment at the state hosp."
Since Lillian May William Turner is buried in the Salmon Cemetery at Pontotoc, as are lots of Turners, I'm sure it is the cemetery to which Odis Turner Drury was referring, and the tombstone you photographed is the correct one for Jesse Green Williams. I have emailed Kay this same information, so I hope she will alter the location she has for the Salmon Cemetery. The Salmon Cemetery in Hinds Co., MS has only two other markers, both Salmons, so I suspect it is not really a cemetery, just the place where George and his wife Elizabeth are buried.

RE: Jesse Green Williams
I noticed you have also posted Jesse Green Williams with his marker. I am his grgranddaughter Lois Kay Conditt Robertson. He was my dad's grandfather throug is mother Minnie Earle Williams Conditt Vinson. I notice the dates are different but due to the fact he had severe dementia that would be understandable. Up until 10 years ago I had no idea where he was buried until I started researching him. My memorial has been there a while but a cousin contacted me about the picture of his grave and wanted to see if you would mind if I posted it also. From the looks of the marker I do not think it's always been there as others have looked for it. Are you related to him?

Thank you for posting it.
