Laura Rife Bartholomew
Hi Geron, Laura Rife is my great-great-great grandma and was wondering if you would consider transferring her memorial to me. 1861-1924, married to John Bartholomew

RE: Elizabeth Spade
Mike, I have seen a document written in old German script which states that Elizabetha Bohlender, daughter of Adam, was born Dec. 16, 1767, married David Spath about 1787, had seven sons and two daughters and died after 40 years of marriage. I have never been able to find any further information but this would seem to conflict with the person who inquired.

RE: Catherine Bolender Stout
Michael, I made the name change that you suggested. While the "Jun" designation is a bit confusing I think the more important point is the fact that the estate records for the George Stout who died in 1846 name Catherine as his widow. Unless there is a record of another marriage of a George Stout to another Catherine besides Gruber between 1842 and 1846 then it must be the the George who died in 1846 who married Catherine Gruber, nee Bolender.

RE: Catharine Stout
Im pretty cautious about jumping to conclusions but I think this is my Catharine Bolender. I have never been able to determine her exact date of birth but Im pretty confident that she was born before 1784 and the Catharine you found was born in 1782. However, there is now a problem because there are two memorials, yours and one that was created by someone else and transferred to me. The latter one lists burial unknown which is in violation of Find A grave rules but it is also a violation of those rules for me to delete it and create a new one. After it was transferred to me I added a bio and a link to George. It seems to me that the best solution in accordance with the rules would be for me to transfer my memorial to you. You could then add your photo to it and delete your memorial to avoid duplication. Another possibility would be to delete your memorial and I could add to mine the fact that you found the grave marker which had been under the ground and I could edit the burial information, placing her in Zion. It doesnt matter to me. What you like to do?

RE: Catharine Stout
It depends on the dates. Catharine (Bolender) Stout was born in the the 1780s. She survived three husbands, first Melchior Yoder, then Christian Gruber and finally George Stout who died in 1846. I was never able to determine whether she married again. She was still living and had not remarried when she received money from George's estate on Nov. 9, 1847. Are there any dates or other information on the stone you uncovered?
