|William J Morris||RE: John Morris Grave|
Thank you so much connie was my great grandfather Lester C Morris's brother .I have Mathews family buried at longacre had no idea he was there . I will be headed up there thank you again.
I noticed that this person is your gr gr grandfather as described in your message. He is also my husband's gr gr grandfather with Abel and Deborah Hurdt as his great grandparents and Roy Hurdt as his maternal grandfather. We have been trying to locate photos of any of these Hurdt relatives. Do you have any family photos of any of them?
Thank you so much for any assistance you might be able to provide.

|Gordon Edwards||RE: Jesse Hurt grave (Hurdt)|
I really haven't researched him much. I began by fielding a request for his marker, based upon the request for a VA marker. I, too, found the NC marriage bond, but did not go past it. I found Jesse's property using deeds here in Washington County. I have thoroughly walked the property and there is no sign of a grave, marked or otherwise. McCarty Church is nearby his place of residence, so that was simply a guess, as noted in the memorial. We have no proof he's there. It seems he was clearly here, but not a bunch about him. I do consider my file on him as still open, but I am not actively working it. My affiliations are the Heritage Alliance, here in Jonesborough, as well as the Cemetery Survey Team of N E Tenn. I mainly work just Washington County. I will add your name and contact info in my file in case I score a homerun. My neighbor is a Burke County Hurdt, and he and I have talked this, too - with no conclusions. Gordon
